Ireland v England

That was a pathetic effort Dave, for future reference, when you go fishing use some bait that is somewhat realistic.

Yes England will. I 100% agree that they will win at 'Joke Park', as you have some wittily parodied the name.

It's absolutely definite now. Infact, I don't think the game is worth playing. Put it down as a 3 - 70 win to England.

For anyone who missed that, he ryhmed Croke and Joke.

I think (THINK) he's a real person instead of an alias. And in England.

Maybe a 606 regular.

Seriously though, I do love us playing in Ireland. Very tough place to go, and I see it as a marker as to how strong we are, possibly more so than France/Wales because those countries tend to play less consistently. Obviously 2003 stands out as an Englishman, and Johnno will need others to stand up and be counted like he did in and before that game.

We'll probably lose due to indiscipline again, but it'll be close.

there's nobody in the English team though with the gall to do what Johnson did that day.

I'll either head to the Cock n' Bull or Paddy Mcguire's for this game, Ireland v England in the 6N's is usually a big fixture for backpackers in Australia. A few Irish pubs get so filled out that they become a camping ground for crowd control police. I remember two years back watching a small brawl after the game while eating a kebab, it's usually a very eventful night.

Ireland should take this one, it's at Croke Park after all, though an upset IS possible. If that's the case I won't be hanging around to hear the final whistle. Maybe i'll order a kebab and sit somewhere out of harm's way.

The English *******.[/b][/quote]

I dont think I've ever agreed with pretty much anything you've said before ...... but yeah that is pretty much bang on.

I thought he was starting a "fill in the blanks & read between the lines of what I really mean" game. This new phenominon of Irish-little-man syndrome which has been creeping in; Wales suffered with the same thing up until 2005. A grand slam should cure that.

Assuming that Ireland don't get the world talking (again) by thumping an abysmal English old-boys side (again) before getting their backsides handed to them by Wales. As is par for course. Again.

And Harry Ellis should be captain.

right we may not get any debate over Wallace/D'Arcy, the Ulster player has had 16 stitches in his eye according to the BBC who rate him doubtful for the visit of them across the water.

in relation to Johnson, I rarely ever ever have anything against english people.. and even the real real stereotypical brits don't bother me at all.

Infact, mostly I like english people..

But Johnson is a wankstain, he's an arrogant stuck up ****

Ouch, is that how I emagine it, 16 stitches on his eyeball? I wish him a speedy recovery.

Hi guys, this match I think will go for Ireland, as they are on a high mood and in a good condition unlike England (unfortunately)

Home court advantage, previous two won matches and traditional drive against England (peace guys no political f**ck) will add more to Ireland than to England I think

In his eyelid i believe. Stitches in the eyeball are pretty rare.

No he`s a legend of our great game. What you said was just a bitter dig at our greatest ever player/leader.
Its probably that image of him lifting the World Cup that is bugging you!

Exactly, and if anyone has the right to be a little arrogant, its a world cup winning captain.
History aside, I don't think Johnson has been at all arrogant. He hasn't exactly said that England would win everything by 40 points. He even accepted that England were underdogs against Wales, which is a fairly big step down for him, so not arrogant.

no it's the disrespect he showed to our president, it wouldn't have been tolerated if O'Driscoll had done the same to the Queen. Sure he didn't even have the class to life the trophy properly. :p

That was f***ing funny though. Does it not sum up Englishness right there? Arrogant to the extent that it tramples all over everyone else. And it got backed up by awesome rugby. I think people tend to forget, it was a grand-slam decider away from home for us, and we absolutely wiped Ireland off the park like they were **** on our shoe.

That's what I miss most about England being good - just that feeling of superiority over everyone else. The fact that any opposition could yap for as long as they liked about how the English were all arseholes, but come gametime we'd ram it back down their throats.

I have lots of respect for extreme arrogance/ confidence that can be backed up.

I had no gripes with what went on on the pitch, it was an awesome performance from England with Greenwood well and truly at his pomp being a site to behold. Arrogance on the field and within the team setup is one thing but it crosses a line when it leads to disresepecting the head of state of a sovereign country.
