Ireland v England

the fact that o'gara managed to miss so many kicks and england still lost shows how badly they've been playing lately. cipriani should be given another chance i say

You are all insane. France are going to win the grand slam by beating England by such a margin that it will undo the loss in Ireland. Then Bastareaud will eat the corpse of Tindall as a symbol.

PS. It will also undo trafalgar and waterloo

The English will always have Vinegar Hill.

So we had to find somewhere which had the correct condiments to put onto our fish and chips, sue us.

I'm sure Gordon Brown will offer a hollow apology for it one of these days

Were there a mint-sauce battle and worcestershire battle too? These ones you should have lost

Why should he apologise? He's Scottish! If anything, he should do some bargaining and try and get a hollow Irish apology for what happened at Abedeen between 1644-45. While we're at it, should we go after the Dutch, Belgian and French governments for an apology for what their mercenaries did over the period between 1600 and 1799? Should the USA seek an apology from Germany for the role its Hanoverian troops played during the War of Independence? Where exactly does this stop?

Apologies for events that happened hundreds of years ago tend to be hollow, patronising and meaningless no matter how well intentioned. Apologising is admitting that you are somehow connected to whatever happened and/or played a part in it. I'd gladly go back in a time machine and bang some heads together and tell them to chill, go home and have some tea and nice battenburg cake but I don't see why I should apologise for what they did. It is kind of like having to live next to a chav family from hell and then demand an apology against the next nice middle class family who move in after the chavs are evicted. Not that I'm saying that people are demanding apologies.

EDIT: any instance of bringing up such and such tragedy or bloody event in our history just gives me a headache and after seeing the world a bit I'm learning to just ignore it, glaze over and start playing elevator music in my head whenever this and that starts getting thrown around. That is why I say "guys, can't we just get along?"

Hmm "those were good biscuits, they cost four pounds!"

Anyway, lets end the beef here and now.

I give up on rugby so I'm going to say this to all foreigners:

England wins at history. Largely because history had no referee to stop us from cheating.

Agreed all round ...... especially with Prestwicks assertion that all his English ancestors were just Chavs.

Thats what he said!!!!! ;)

with Casey picking up that bicep injury in the Bath game I guess we now know why Mick O'Driscoll was on the bench against England.

Someone mentioned uploading a few pics from the game. Thought I'd drop them in here. Not sure if anyone has any interest but there you go.

Was sitting right on half way beside the English subs. Listening to Goode scream and shout like an average fan. Questioned the ref a few times too, couldnt help himself :)

The Vickery photo was of him parading up and down the touchline during his 10 minute break.
