Get this rolling although not much to discuss. I think we'll look quite different this time next year. Don't expect much from next year but 8/12 wins (presuming three summer internationals) is required.

Is Easterby the man to deliver change? I think he'll be treated as an interim manager, and nothing will change until Faz returns. Goodman & possibly POC need to go. There's a bunch of veteran players who need to go to pasture. There's some real promise coming through. Can Simon make it all happen? What will be the financial impact of a poor 6N?

Don't think Easterby's job description will be to enact change. Will be very much expected to maintain standards and keep
The lights on while Farrell is away.

That said I agree with you I'm doubtful he has head coach pedigree. Also agree he has the reigns for a pretty significant period of time for the squad. I'd have rathered Farrell didn't take the gig and we gave it to Gatland again as a handicap to the Lions. Rhys Webb would get a free holiday in Bondi Beach

Feel like this weekend wasn't great for Ireland, no one really put their hands up to break in. Thought Izuchukwu was not a disaster in Ulster's housefire, really think he needs to be given the 6 jersey in February.

If O'Connell keeps getting gameyime I'd give him an apprentice spot. Daly consistently playing good stuff but behind a lot of traffic.

Fit and firing, I don't see too many changes in the 6n.

Not to worry though, lots of talent in the ranks who just need time and SA built their 2019 team starting in 2018. The summer and autumn next year will have to be very productive.

We're also fairly set at second row, 8, 10, 15 and only need back ups at 1, probably 3, 7, 9, both centres. Props is a huge worry but wing should be fine.

Unless Lions motivations really push some guys (and basically every starter and some bench guys are in contention) I can see the malaise continue.

Hopefully a few guys have a productive Christmas period in the URC.

I think looking at this weekend for us in Munster, Ahern and Gleeson could make some headway towards an Irish camp if they can stay fit and playing. They won't pressure any starters this 6N but I'm hopeful they'll make camps.

Thought Boyle was decent vs Bristol. Seems to have gotten passed Milne anyway.
