Pocock, for me.
Beales been a revelation too
Don't think this year has been particularly standout for Matfield, had a better 09 imo,

Who the **** knows. I've a feeling they'll pick Harinordoquy, in order to spread the love.

its a bullshit award anyway.

Other IRB awards 2010

Best seven player: Mikaele Pesamino
Best WRCW player: Carla Hohepa
Best junior: Julian Savea
IRB Development: Brian O'Shea
Best referee: Colin High

Doesn't this award usually go for year before and can I ask how BOD hasn't won this in past 10 years

Sonny Bill Williams - For dong absolutely **** all to earn it except being in the press more then anyone else all year.

Just like last years winner...

I'd say Pocock is the clear favourite. So it'll be Muliaina to win then

So like you to talk up New Zealanders again. It's almost (but not quite) a gay love thing going on. :)

Sonny Bill was never going to be nominated sorry Bullitt, your fan-fav hasn't been around playing good rugby for long enough sadly. As for Richie, I know he hasn't returned your love letters begging for a spell at Northampton, but one day he'll ride up on his white horse and take your boys to the Premiership! :D

I personally would vote for McCaw or Pocock. Mils has had a horrible last few games. I would have actually voted for Kieren Read or Kevin Mealamu, but they didn't get a shoe in.

Pocock has been the biggest revalation this season, however McCaw has remained in my mind, the best openside in the world (for more than just his work in the break down). He's captained New Zealand for a very big season, so I'd say he should be a favourite. Pocock has been the best fetcher in the world at the moment. Beale has also been a revalation considering he wasn't considered a real threat to AAC jersey 12 months ago.

Matfield being nominated is a bit of a joke. Had his worst season in memory.
Harinordoquy had a great Six Nations, but I don't think he's achieved enough to be player of the year.

Pocock for me, I havent seen that other Harinordoquoy guy play. Ritchies had a good tri-nations but in this EOYT hes been ok.

Harinordoquoy pretty much dragged France to the 6N Grand Slam (kicking and screaming) and Biarritz to the HEC final (kicking and screaming more) on his own, despite wearing a face mask because of a shattered nose.

Pocock has been a [strike]Wallaby[/strike] Australian forward who isn't **** (a rare breed in it self).

Tough call.

Pocock for me. Surprised Cyrill didn't go for him considering his name.

Oh, I see what you did there...

How can it be anyone except for MaCaw? Seriously. How?
