These matches may not be as interesting as the Jr World Championship tournament already underway, but they are still international rugby. If you like to watch that like me...

Winner will get promoted to the IRB Junior World Championship. Will be interesting to see if the USA can do something against Tonga. Japan versus Canada will hopefully be interesting to watch too.

I had hoped to go catch one of the days' events, but my rugby trip money got kinda tied up by a USA v Italy trip. Nevertheless I'll be watching and pulling for these guys even if they need a miracle...

Interesting... have you any idea who are the form sides within the tourny... I'd imagine Georgia are quite strong?

This is how I would rate the teams
Tonga Georgia and Japan should be the favorites.
Canada and, USA could cause upsets.
Russia, Chile and Zimbabwe are the underdogs.

what does it say about Russia's future when their U20 team just got spanked 53-19 against the giant rugby nation of ......... Chile !

giant rugby nation of ......... Chile !
hahahah. wow i didn't expect that. Makes you wonder how do Russians want to develop rugby if not through youth. I believe in rugby the youth tournament results are a lot more reliable for predicting future strength of nations than in other sports like Basketball or Football

Victoire du Japon 39-36 contre le Zimbabwe grâce à un essai de l'arrière Yutaro Murai dans les dernières secondes du match!

I don't speak french but i guess Japan beat Zimbabwe 39-36 huh ? surprising results so far.

Guys, can we please keep posts in English? Just makes it easier all round.

Georgia beat Canada 31-17. The first place in Pool B will be played as scheduled between Japan and Georgia.

Japan led 22-14 at halftime but Zimbabwe has hurt in the second half. A very open match and a beautiful rugby between two nations that openly play the game Japan fell not far from the disaster, but now that is better against Canada and Georgia.

Georgia 31 -17 Canada. Terrible quality on the live stream :| Bad organization from the yanks

USA vs Tonga coming on now!

Go team go!

Georgia has sent possibly their best ever U20 squad this year and have a very good chance of winning their first ever year in the main tournament

Lasha Lomidze is being hyped as the nearest thing in the youth ranks to Gorgodze and is already in the Espoirs squad of Montpellier, whilst in the backs Merab Sharikadze is already a first choice centre for the senior team (although he struggled in defence against USA last weekend), and Dzneladze and Nikolava were both on the "A" team tour to England and Wales this year

The Georgia U18 team has already beaten the Italy U18 team of course, so there is good youth coming through

Tonga in Pool A favorite logically

Psychic duck not underestimate Japan. Very good players in the team, including the back.

USA came very close to scoring a try. this day is full of surprises. 3-0 still the game is very even. both teams making few mistakes but in general they look pretty good.

30' Tonga sin bin

some USA players aren't passing when needed. i don't know if its because of greed or inexperience.

also they lost another good chance for scoring a try.

I like this game so far because neither tam looks better than Georgia from what I've seen so far, which makes me really optimistic.

USA not taking the advantage of extra player

36' 3-3 Tonga scores a long free kick
