Heineken Cup Semi Final- Saracens v Clermont

Owens is doing his best to help the Saracens win, shocking performance so far from him.

Someone just had a running penalty kick right into Binny's head at a ruck a second ago.
Surprised that Binny's head is still attached to his shoulders let alone that he got up from it (though it took a few minutes).

Anyone know why Goode is kicking? (Missed first 20mins, so just checked the scorers on twitter).

I saw that too, filthy ******* should have been red.

Fortune is definitely with Saracens today though, and I have to say Ashton is having the best game I have seen in years.

When was it?

Ashton isn't allowed to have a good game, there's already a bit of media gype about him getting a recall and this is not on!

Poor performance by Owens today to be honest..

You Made that comment after only about 30 mins of game play. Rather over the top. Apart from the penalty try, which should have been just a penalty, what had Owens really done wrong?

The disallowed try was by the letter of the law indeed w penalty. I recall identical scenarios where people on here were up in arms because an England or sarries try WASNT disallowed

Missed the forward pass on the third try and hasn't shown a card to Sarries despite constant offenses. Disallowing Clermont's try was marginal as well.

Gonna say I want Clermont to win. I was up for Sarries at the beginning but I can't think of a more undeserving finalist.

When was it?
In the build up to the disallowed Clermont try.
Just inside Sarries half on the far side of the pitch, Binny went to clear out, went off his feet, rolled away and started to get up and a Clermont player kicked him in the side of the head.

Ulster must be looking and saying there is a HUGE chance of HEC final gone as Clermont are red raw terrible today and Sarries ain't as superb as SKY make it out

Miles Harrison is a ****ing lunatic - is he sponsored by red-bull?

CALM DOWN DEAR!

I think Owens has been below his substantial best....that forward pass, both sides in front at kick off, Sarries clearly offside at the breakdown charge, Burger hitting Fofana late, no yellows against Sarries for perpetual fouls and Johnson's three collapses. However, pales into insignificance alongside that penalty try.......James lands on his feet and Bosch on his knees with no other Sarries player within yards yet "clear and certain try" had not James committed the penalty...do not think so and neither do the commentators!

I said did not see ASM winning this one and believe that Sarries would be there no matter the penalty try but a bit of decent reffing and it would have been a closer and more interesting game......off to the pub!

I'm watching it on Italian TV, great fun. No Miles Harrison or Barnes to ruin it, all I can understand is the names of players! Bliss.

That penalty against binny was ridiculous.
Parra had the ball available, then walked around binny and flopped over him appealing for a penalty.
If the one vs Barritt wasn't a penalty because Parra went looking for him then this one was one hundred times more obvious.

Jacques Burger - if I'd like anyone in the Premiership to play for England...

I'd like to dedicate my 1000th post to what a colossal c**k I think Chris Ashton is.

At least now I can join the list of greats.. like ImScotty. etc.

So it looks like the Clermont choke is no myth anyway. Decisions aside Sarries have embarrassed them.

Ashton looks back to his best. Quality player when he's on form
