what if they win the final ? Do you think tuna will taste the same ? Because it currently really tastes like shhit tbh...

In the whole history of butts that have been hurt, I think that Amiga's is the most hurt of all the butts.

Looks like the top two tiers are shut for this one, which I'm not really surprised about. Looks like the bottom tier isn't even sold out, anyway:

Do Saracens even have fans? Seriously, aren't they one of the strongest in teams in the Aviva Premiership? Why does no one support these guys? Looking forward to seeing how many Clermont supporters have travelled though...I'd argue they're up there as some of the best fans in world rugby.

I'm considering getting up to watch this one. In terms of northern hemisphere club rugby, I rarely watch any full games and usually just settle for highlights. Think the only HCUP games I've ever watched live are Leinster vs. Ospreys, Leinster vs. Northampton, and Saracens vs. Toulouse- all from this season.

They do, but not 80k worth.
They're relatively new in terms of success and being a "big" club, and have a relatively small fanbase as a result (considering how many other clubs they have locally to compete with).
Sarries are very good at markets big games, and will do ticket deals etc. to get big numbers in at Wembley/Twickers for their Aviva games that they take on the road there.
However the ERC did all the marketing and ticketing for this game which has basically cut(/priced) all of the casual fans from the area out.

They also generally do those games against other relatively nearby clubs who do have fans.

I was at the Sarries - Leicester game at Wembley. I went because it was free. Next time you'd have to pay me.

We haven't got a strong fan base because we haven't had a permanent stadium for a few years, now we have Allianz Park but that is pretty hard to get too without a car. Also we don't play an exciting brand of rugby so its hard for neutrals to really get into watching a team defend all the time, but if we start winning a few more trophies and start playing with some attacking intent then we get some more fans through the door.(I wrote this on my phone so there are probably loads of typos)

oh right, coz your posts are usually flawless spelling-wise
You're an enemy for the day, scoundrel.
I fart in your general direction !

I'm looking at a few articles...I read Parra saying "our game isn't as good-looking as it was before, but we'll take wins as they come" amongst other lines...it makes me think:
so many ppl last year thought Clermont were the best in France/Europe and the legitimate heir to the H Cup because of certain impressive factors, intimidating things we knew about Clermont. Their legendary invincibility at home and the great fluidity often of their attacking game in particular were two very overwhelming aspects of the side. But beneath that, there were guys trying hard to compete and struggled every once in a while to play at that level. I think those flashy qualities about them put them at a higher level in ppl's collective imaginations than the level they were at in reality. And so the higher they got, the harder they fell, but really it's ridiculous to think losing to last year's Toulon is a shame of any sort.

Well best of luck to both teams!!!!!!!!! obviously want Clermont to win but hope rugby is the real winner and that Twickers has got a good stock of Pastis for the visiting Jaunards.
Shame about a grand stade and 1/2 empty crowd, should play all semis and finals in France or Ireland, where support = dedication!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is it going to be that empty ?! Clermont are coming to town ffs...Nalaga, Sivivatu, Fofana, Owen Farrell, Vunipola...if that ain't enough, I don't know what is.

Maybe.

Maybe he'll chase after a high ball and get a red. It'll then bring the total number of people I've ever seen sent off for challenging for a Garryowen to...

Double what it is now.

You really need to get over it. I dislike sarries as much as the next guy but it's not their fault you had a player sent off for what was undeniably a ****ing moronic challenge - intention being completely irrelevant here so we're clear - and I'd also add that they are not the only team ever to have struggled to make a man advantage fully count.

K, all set. I'd like to wish a Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all here, and a pimping good game. Hopefully we can see a free-flowing Clermont in all its glory, and a courageous Sarries side making it more than interesting. Good luck to both, and may the best team win and no fkng controversy and what not.

*Shrimp*.

And they have Chris Ashton in their team :p

I don't know who I want to win this one. I really don't like either of these teams. Each has players I ****ing hate from the bottom of my guts.
EDIT: Could Ashton not just take a lovely try created by his team mates by touching it down out instead of making it about a stupid dive. Honestly there is nothing wrong with how he plays, his positioning is superb again there but WHY?

Oh Nige...that's an awful decision. Not a penalty try in a million years, a yellow card is harsh in itself.

Wow.. a card and a penalty try? Owens is the best referee by a mile but is that really the correct decision?..
