Heineken Champions Cup - Round of 16 (2nd Leg)

Quins ruing taking a quick conversion last week that ended with Montpellier scoring 3.

Great game that could have been better with a even a semi competent ref.
Leinster and Munster spend how much money chasing championships yet neither can produce competent refs. #BantheURC til they contribute to all facets of the game.

Incompetent ref, two clueless sides in the second half, unenjoyable rugby...

But my god, if seeing a young English prodigy pull the shite out of a sitter to win a knockout game for a cheating club like Quins* isn't what rugby is about I don't know what is.

*I know, I know... I don't care.

First half was class to be fair. Second half went turgid cup style rugby. Speaking of which, Munster are on soon!

Thing is it genuinely does need looking at because when English and French teams play each other there is such a limited choice of refs anyway and the quality of those to choose from is shocking. I'd say Craig Evans is probably the best you can hope for.

yeah I love when Exeter and Toulouse play each other and some guy who's never done a tier 1 international is controlling the game

Penalty, free kick, penalty, 3 points. Munster get that without needing to really do anything. Real coach killer that phase.

Exeter seem to have learned nothing from their breakdown problems last time.

Lovely Carbery. That's more like himself. We look good in the breakdown so far. I think we have a wind against us.

Wait are there Exeter players not playing because of a stag do or are they all injured?

******* love that John Ryan. Good guy giving Hepburn coaching advice too

Exactly the same as the last scrum but decided this one actually was Exeter's. Hogg has been such a poor player for a while now.

We are playing a bit too much without the ball now I think, inviting them onto us. I think we did a good job addressing the loop play that's killed us a number of times. Defensive breakdown is good, but set piece is wobbly. Scrum I think we will be ok, but lineout needs sorting.
