Thats a shock! The RFU dishing out hefty fines to someone else!

I reckon we can win, but not over confident.

Considering that should be a 2 year ban, it shows how little the 'new guidelines' brought in to clean the game up have had an effect.

Sale's Epi Taione has been banned for 18 weeks after pleading guilty to biting Munster and Ireland flanker Denis Leamy in a Heineken Cup match.

Teletext is saying that Steve Diamond is about to get fired by Sarries. Seems weird consider a couple of months ago everyone was saying he was the best young English coach around. It's not exactly like Sarries underperforming is a novelty.

wot a joke this is, everyone was saying how we have moved on as a team at the back end of last season and now back to the underperforming saracens so we sack the coach good ol' sarries

diamond sacked

Serves him right for pinning his hopes on a clapped out reject from that 'other' game.

I think that had some part as well from our national coach...

AR didn't care as long as a Club had him. Sarries still have to pay him half of his £200k per year for sitting on his ass.

Wilkinson set for latest comeback

England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson looks set to play for the first time since last November after being named in the Newcastle squad to face London Irish.

The World Cup winner has repeatedly delayed his return to action since undergoing groin surgery in November but will start on the bench on Sunday.

Newcastle director of rugby Rob Andrew said Wilkinson was fit but he would not be rushed back into the side.

"He last played in November, so the bench is best for him," he said.

"There is no premeditated plan of when to bring him on and, if things are going well with the personnel out on the field, then it may be that he doesn't come on at all.

"He wouldn't be in the 22 if he wasn't fit and he's done everything with the squad this week as well as coming in last week when most of the squad were rested.

"I'm very happy with Dave Walder starting at number 10, and we'll just make a decision during the game as to whether we need to bring people on from the bench in any position, not just Jonny."

Sunday should be interesting, I was at the Glocs' match and felt like asking for my money back.

Sarries will be fine on Sunday. We played brilliantly in our last match, so that means we'll be shite this time.

Propberbly means Smith is retiring, being as we are lower on looseheads than tightheads.
