Guiness Premiership News

Just thought I would have a quick look at the latest from the Guinness Premiership Games, taking place this afternoon... All kicked off at 15.00 GMT

The scores so far are:

London Irish 3 - 3 Newcastle

Saracens 3 - 31 Bath

Wasps 6 - 10 Northampton

Bath have already got a bonus point in the first half of the game with 4 tries, from Welsh, Hudson, Bory and Crockett, these were all converted by Malone...

Looks like a fantastic performance from Bath, especially away from the Rec. Although I'm wondering if all the problems behind the Scenes at may have a lot to do with it.

Still, a 6-10 halftime lead at the Lost Cause! :D :D :D :D :D

What a game it turned out to be! 19-19 finished...

Saints could of won, and by the sounds of the one-eyed commentators we played really well throughout the match, but the draw was fair.

zombieastronaut do you support sarries then?[/b]

Kind of, my otherhalf lives in St Albans so I try and watch them when I can, though to be honest I spend as much time trying to stop her daughter stalking that bloody camel as I do trying to watch the match. Good stuff in that second half, the boos must have woken the pack up. Im a Midlander so my loyalties may be tested next time Leicester or Worcester are down there ;)

i wouldnt even bother if we play like we did against bath in the 1st half last weekend 31-3 down and more knock ons than catches, if we play like the second half, with 4 tries and managed to salvage 2 bonus points and bring the game back to 34-29

Well its a sell-out unfortunently and step-dad didnt get ticket in time... :cryy:

I'm assuming clubs can use international players this weekend.

Can anyone confirm?

Well Ellis and Murphy will play some part for Leicester tomorow night so I'd assume it's the same for the rest of the players.

Yep, the England and Wales players are being released for this weekend. I expect Ireland and Scotland will do the same.

I wonder if Budge will put Bruce back at 15 seen as the team really seemed to play well against the pests last week.

Team should be out today or tomorow.

Wooohoo!

Managed to scrape tickets for the south stand!

Can't wait.

Thats it, band practice off.

Still recording on Sky+ though.

Should be great game, hopefully.

Did anyone see Rugby Club on Sky Sports this week?

And the "close up" with Mark Robinson?

It was class, my favourite quotes has to be...

Q = Celebrity Big Brother or Newsnight?

MARK = Celebrity Big Brother is crap
¬Q = but would you get in?
¬ MARK = Yes definently...
Q = What 3 things would you save if your house was on fire?

MARK = My Wallet, ???, and Passport*

(And I know what is written on his passport as my mother had to copy it at work, nah nah )

And I also found out he has been arrester too...

Its the funniest and cheakiest "close up" on TRC ever...

Olly Barkley's one a few years ago was quality.

Q: Which club would you never play for?
A: Leicester.
Q: Why?
A: Because I'm Bath and they're Leicester.

Q: Who was the last person you punched?
A: Michael Lipman on a night out. He was being an arse.

Incidently, Danny Grewcock's signed a new three year deal at Bath, keeping him at The Rec until the end of he 2008/09 season. If he carries on like he's been playing this season, he'll become an absolute legend.

To think everyone thought Grewcock would be leaving the Rec at the end of last season, it's a good turn around for them that their keeping him.

If you look at the archives on Saints' forum, there are a few threads about a possible move to the gardens. Much like the "Ben Kay to Northampton" that doing the rounds at the moment)

Gloucester, Leicester and Sale's forums have similar threads and rumours.

I don't visit the offy very often...

Shame he didn't have room for FG in his heart... :wah:

With the penalty count as bad as it is, not having Grewcock is a blessing in disguise.
