Ummm...I see...

Who is Danny Grewcock anyway?......... :D

Well, if last week's penalty count against Wasps is anything to go by we have a pretty good chance against Sarries today...

With the penalty count as bad as it is, not having Grewcock is a blessing in disguise.
Yeah, who would want the form lock in European rugby?

Northampton 58-17 Saracens

MATCH SUMMARY Courtesy BBC Sport

Saracens were blown away by a scintillating display from Northampton as Sean Lamont ran in four of their eight tries at Franklin's Gardens.
Saracens started well, taking a 10-0 lead, but they had no answer to the home side's subsequent onslaught.

Northampton hit back with first-half scores from Paul Tupai, Sam Harding and Ben Cohen for a 24-10 half-time lead.

Saints cut loose after the break with Lamont's cutting edge complementing Carlos Spencer's inventive brilliance.

Dan Scarbrough scored the first try of the game, diving in at the corner after a lovely flat pass from Glen Jackson.

Northampton's Bruce Reihana had a terrible start with the boot, missing two straightforward penalty chances in quick succession.

But it was from his second miss - the ball rebounding off the post - that Saints got themselves back in the game, as Mark Bartholomeusz's clearance kick was charged down and pounced on by Tupai.

Northampton's second try came after Kyran Bracken's misplaced pass was snapped up by Mark Robinson, who gave a simple scoring pass to Harding.

Spencer gave a masterful performance for Saints

Cohen was next to cross as he got on the end of Reihana's perfect grubber on the right for a 14-point lead at the interval.

It was one-way traffic after the break as Spencer, enjoying himself behind a dominant pack, ran through his full repertoire of tricks.

And the mercurial fly-half was backed up by Lamont's excellent display of finishing.

Lamont's first try came direct from a terrible Jackson kick, his second from a perfect Spencer cross-kick, his third from a short Spencer pass while his fourth was a length of the field interception effort.

In between Lamont's third and fourth scores, substitute John Rudd dived over from close range.

Flanker Steffon Armitage scored late on for Saracens, but it barely even registered as a consolation for his thoroughly outplayed side.

**** me , we were awesome! :D

Was worried during the first 10 minutes, but after that Saints were unstoppable, Sarries defense wasn't able to cope.

Carlos Spencer was absolute magic, there aren't words to describe some of the genius he came up with today. Kicking the ball backwards over his head, past the onrushing defense, running through and gathering has to be one of the most audacious pieces of skill I've ever seen. Unbelieveable.

Sean Lamont's finsihing today was superb, four tries is never a bad thing, and his first where he galloped away from Haughton was wonderful.

Jon Clarke didn't even play well today, not by his standards, and we still racked up 58 points. I'd have hate to see what would have happened if he'd played like he usually does.

A thoroughly delighted Saints fan.

Bristol team to face Wasps

Bristol Rugby:

Bernardo Stortoni, Lee Robinson, Rob Higgitt, Sam Cox, David Lemi, Tommy Hayes, Shaun Perry, Dave Hilton, Mark Regan, Darren Crompton, Nathan Budgett, Gareth Llewellyn, Matt Salter (capt), Craig Short, Dan Ward-Smith

Replacements:

Alex Clarke, Saul Nelson, Mariano Sambucetti, Geraint Lewis, Greg Nicholls, Jason Strange, Vaughan Going

I'm glad hayes has got his first start cause Strange kicked rubish against Leeds and Worcester. Also glad to see my favourite player starting Craig Short because he has been playing well for the A team and Ward-Smith is back and he is gonna be a good player for the future.
Do you people think that this team can beat Wasps? I will be there hoping they can.

Was Lamont on fire today? I'm really hoping that he can take that into next week :D.

i wouldent say Lamont was on fire it was more Spencers Creativety, any neutrals see his over head kick thing pure genious, proud to be a Saints fan today. :p

Ah well at least he scored...he's got a nose for finnishing at least.

Why is it that the SRU released all of the Scotland players apart from Edinburgh's best 6 or 7 players?

that must suck, Lamont did show the finishing touch and did the basics well imo
Heh, he outmuscled Brucey on the cross kick :p that's going to cause some beef. Love Ben Cohen's face after his try :D classic match, really stellar stuff. It looked like Clarkey hurt himself in the first half...he did have a couple of good runs but was a bit quiet. Damien Browne had an absolute corker too, I have to give it to him, 20st galloping around for the 80 minutes big hits everywhere and really setting up the ball well for the backs. Superb game for him.

Did you see Haughton run into Daniel Browne? Heh, talk about sixty to nought...

Bit harsh, Lamont was fantastic today. Outsprinted Haughton for his first try, and turned Castaignede inside out for the fourth. Great finishing, I think playing for Scotland has actually done him good, seems to have brought his international form to the Saints shirt.

His 4th...don't think Scarbourough and Castignede were interested in 6'1/15st of fast moving scotsman. They just gave up. Good effort from Haughton though.

I was so impresed with the whole team today and picking the MoTM today was probably the worst thing Sky had to do...

Carlos was pulling the strings/running the show all afternoon...well after the first 10 minutes :p

You could really see the backs set-plays and how devastating they can be...

This is what the team has been able to do all season, why it has been postponed till now I don't know but it better be like this next week at the mad-jetski...

surprised no one has mentioned that amazing kick from spencer[/b]

Oh yeah, that was class :D

You should of heard a mate of ours from the terrace and what he had to say about that...

"When he pulled that move and nearly scored after that kick I think I cum"

:p

Bristol 9 Wasps 9

What a performance from our forwards just ashame the backs weren't as good and we didn't have a decent fly half cause if we did we would of won.

What you guys think of the Bristol performance????

I've never known a team draw so much in one season as Wasps. Didn't see the game, but taking points out of the bugs is always a result.

At home we have beaten Sale, Tigers and drawn with Wasps - certainly wouldn't of predicted that.

2 points today is good IMO, especially considering our run of form. As for the FH, we need to look into getting a new one during the Summer if we stay up - Contepomi maybe? :p

Sarries is a HUGE game - since they have dragged themselves into the relegation race recently.

Yeah bring back Contepomi he was awsome when he played for us.Yeah the Sarries game will be a big game.

you going to watch it????
