Game of Thrones

Renly was uber gay, pity we didn't get to see any hardcore anal. It's also never stated that Stannis was nailing Melisandre but it's also heavily implied. I'm trying very hard not to be one of those guys who go mental if there are a few changes from the books but they're taking the **** a bit these days. I must say though, they once again did a excellent job casting the new characters. Anybody else think they're deliberatley making Littlefinger into a berk so it's more of a shock for what happens later on? Also what the **** happened to his voice?

!!!
I was thinking this during the episode as well.
I only found out last week that the guy who plays him is Irish, and then suddenly he's forgotten how to do a convincing English accent and it's not just a mish-mash of the two.

I suppose they have to overstate things in the show as a lot of what goes on in the book is all internal monologue so they need to spell it out for the viewers through actions (like when Yoren had his spiel about saying that guys name like a prayer, which Arya does in the book/will do later on in the series).

It's not just his accent though, the tone is all off from last season, it's like there's another guy dubbing for him or something. I'm just a bit ****** off they left out Dondarrion and Thoros as they have a big part in the next few books, ditto for riverun and the blackfish.

You know, I still haven't seen more than 30 minutes or so of the show. And quite possibly never will...

Although I will tune in for any sex scenes involving Melisandre providing her actress is suitably hot.

Agree about Slynt - The whole "Tyrion taking over Kingslanding" was one of my favourite parts and they've cut it way way down. I can understand why, but it's still a shame.

The whole series is basically softcore porn, if you cut out all of the battles etc. it's about 6 hours of nonstop boobs.

Theres a lot of Irish actors in this series and they're mainly quite good. Also Peter Dinklage (tyrion) has been amazing, he plays his role so well

Aye, the main filming locations are in Northern Ireland (with across the Narrow sea being filmed in Cyprus, I think), makes sense to get local actors on the case.

However the whole cast is really spot on/superb - can't think of anyone that I'd change.

Word to the first part, slightly meh to the second. I love boobs, but generally hardcore > softcore. Either the actress has to be amazing, or they have to be portraying someone I would smash the back wheels off if they were real and not fictional and tbh, I don't find most SoIaF female characters that sexy.

Just watched the latest episode and My god Sansa is an annoying *****. She gets her dad beheaded yet still manages to act like she's eternally on the blob. And her voice is sooooo annoying. Its also occured to me how Joffrey is like medieval Justin Bieber. Everyone else can see he's a d##k apart from the teenage girl

Just watched episode 1. It was class although Khal Drogo was a lot gayer than I'd expected.

Did you just insult Drogo? Do you want to awaken the dragon cmac?

All he's going to wake up is a frisky stallion

Youve wandered into an area of inuendo where my simple mind can't hope to follow =P

About a third of the way through A Storm of Swords: Blood & Gold.
I won't say what's just happened for anyone who's not read/waiting for the TV series, but: OH MY F***KING GOD WHFJSFAERIGASRVARAVIJRSLFVARIJASR

Best book in the series by a country mile. Doesn't let up either.

Just got round to watching the 4th episode, which I quite enjoyed.

I must say, i don't really mind any of the changes they make too much. An awful lot of them are necessary in order to adapt to TV format and as long as they true to the characters I'm happy enough.

I've Episode 4 downloaded and read to go, but my Dissertation deadline is Wednesday so I don't really have time to watch it.
I've also had to put Storm of Swords:B&G away because if I start reading it I know I won't be able to stop (I though, last night, I'd read a chapter before going to sleep and ended up reading about 8!)
