I've been listening to the odd podcast and YouTube video when I've been notified about them during the "off season", but haven't come across this theory. Obviously the White Walkers are in to knicking kids, but what's the rationale behind them wanting mini-Sam in particular? Some sort of Craster connection via Gilly?
 
INB4 the Night King is Mini-Sam real father and this whole war is really about a custody battle between Gilly and the Night King.

Yes, Craster sacrificed his sons to the night king and Gilly's son got away.

Or he's after John and Daeny's unborn child/children.

C) that the press didn't catch on to it earlier
 
Apparently a good amount of the plot for the final season has been leaked from a fairly reliable source who has done the same for prior seasons so tread fairly lightly online.

First time I've heard the actor who plays Hodor speak. Didn't realise he's Northern Irish. Also the actor who plays Euron is Danish.

Didn't know that bit, but it's plausible that Ollie Reed took a holiday to Denmark (or is it just me that thinks he's Reed reborn?)

There's a great video of the auditions doing the rounds online, take a look for Norweigan guy who plays Thormund's one, well forth a watch.
