France vs New Zealand

nah he was turned the other way and then he turned to the direction of where the ball was heading and the french guy ran into him.
watch the replay. [/b]

He still ran sideways, not backwards and into the path of Jauzion, even if it wasn't deliberate (and I think it was) he still obstructed him and denied France a good try-scoring opportunity.

I think choking accusations are slightly unfair. How often does a team lose 2 outhalves in a match and go on to win? And having to replace both halfbacks at the same time was bound to affect continuity.

nah i cant get over it lol
i mean like fu** rugby is like a religion here and its not fair to end like this.
Maybe i do have too much pride but im just a passionate supporter.
heartbroken and cant believe that we lost like that. if they had all been called up we wouldnt have lost.
i was in tears.

Out of both today's matches, I can't name an outstanding player. Amazing team performances. But France better watch out for the old arrogance against England.

[/b]

You are right. We have won the last 4 games against England but i hope we will not do NZ mistake.
"being overconfident"
and when we are overconfident we loose. :D

I'm bitter so I'll say this...I can not believe the french did not warrant any infringements in the second half of consequence. I just don't believe it. They were not perfect and I think the ref should be invited to ref a few games in NZ so he can get a chance to be understand there are a lot of people who didn't rate his performance. We've lost many world cup games I've never ever questioned the refs role in that before.
Not blowing the whistle doesn't make you a good ref all the time.
In saying that the AB's kicked too much in the first half - putting pressure on themselves in the second
They lacked punch and again got desperate too early.
The sin bin was absolutely critical to the outcome - wouldn't have happened if ref wasn't thinking the maul colapse wasn't deliberate
The forward pass made an impact to the game. The ref missed the crutial pass but in reply the touchy was right in line so theres the blame for that one. I'll remember that more than the gritty french defence sadly.
Our countrymen are great rugby players and part of rugby is losing.
I've had my spit and will leave with the hope we see a new world champ no disrepect SA or England. For mine France may actually do it...somehow.

Pity Fiji are SH - otherwise, we might be looking at a complete NH lineup for the semis!

**** yeah, a hour ago i thought it was a all southern hemisphere by a mile.

i must say though, its f***ing crooked how all the good teams are in one half of the finals stages, and then theres the pumas and south africa. also how nz had no competetion in the pool play and this joke of a silver uniform. add this to the wc being down graded to 16 teams, and all the people just waiting (and looking for what ever they can) to go wrong with the 2011wc its going to be f***ing ****. rugby interest = 0%

I am fully shattered but no excuses the All Blacks just got plain beaten. France deserve the win and they really turned up on the night.

Ref was good can't fault him maybe some calls here and there but overall he was good. We can't win them all and the French showed us why good game France and good luck for the rest of the tournament. :cryy:

oh yeah letting a forward pass go unnoticed for the winning try and allowing players to be offside all game makes a bloody awesome ref.
great perfomance!

lol at all the complaints..face it nz choked

how many times over the last 3 yars have we seen the abs profit from poor reffing decisions, now it goes against them...lol fowards passes, obstruction, lying all over the ball (justified with BS like its all about playin what the ref allows)...well imho u got wot u deserve...yes the ref was poor and missed the foward pass but france didnt even play rugby inthe first half....nz trained 4 years for this, took players out of s14, all this extreme conditioning, rotations (i beleive henry sed he wanted two 1st teams capable of being world contendors - well that didnt exactly pay off when carter and kelleher went off did it?) and they cant beat a french side who didnt even play rugby in the first 40???

carter prob was forced into playing...hence the reoccuring calf injury...evans shud have been giving the number 10 from the start

mccalister def impinged jauzion....watch his eyes and his runnign line...he puts his shoulder strate in and jauzion rightly milked it for all its worth..whether it deserved a yellow is debatable but i spose it was like 5 m out from the line

what happened to muliana? not that hes anythign but a makeshift 13...umaga retired last yr i belive..uv've had toeva, smith, muliana, mcalister, even macdonald at one point i believe..and in the end u put in muliana, a great fullback when fit, a medicore 13 at best...LOL

rocokoko played wlel i thort and was lookin for work like a good 14 shud, but lol sivivatu went MIA? where were his inside lines which he usually offered the 10,his workrate was shoddy, the signs were there against scotland but he still got the nod over howlett...LOL

funny enuff the nz lineout was good and stole alot of ball of france and prob beat the french in the scrums as well..makes it even harder to accept how nz cudnt break down the french line with all that possession and control...with all those pick ups and drive, i wondered whether i was watchin eng again LOL

after the Aus result and now this, i really get he impression the SH swallowed all the hype about the NH form and got caught out

what it proves is that when it comes to KO rugby the standard and intensity of the guiness premiership and heineken cup gives more preparation for the pressure that players face when its all on the line, rather than the undoubtedly better skilled and more free flwoing rugby that the S14 provides

Neways...four more years boys, four more years

i cant belive u are all bringing up wel its worked in your favour in the past. this isnt the past, its a big game, a quater final, and this was the play that won the game. there are refs and touchies, one of em should have seen it. we all did. this was a crucial part of the game and saying that it didnt count or matter is just bull sh**

I felt really sorry for Carter when he came off the field.
Was the boy in tears? I ask this because a lot of the New Zealand squad were patting him on the back as if they were consoling him. [/b]

It reminded me of Beckham limping off in the 2006 Poofball World Cup for England, looks like he could've possibly been done for the tournament anyway.

Although I wasn't personally that worried when he went off, his punting was good, but we needed to put the nail in the coffin and Evans was doing that nicely. The game was fully lost when Evans went off and McAlister had to shift to First Five. We would've survived the yellow card, the rising penalty count and the missed conversion IMO if Evans had hung around, the French couldn't stop him.

Congratulations to France on their huge upset over New Zealand. I was shattered by the All Blacks as it came near the end, just disappointed in the way they played. That's not the great team they were always like when they left the country. The All Blacks were lost out there and 'out of sorts'. I didn't get why they kept setting up bloody mauls everytime. Barely saw a simple punt to the touch-line and force a turnover - there was nothing wrong with their own line-outs either. And about the 'foward pass whingeing', ha! forget it. That problem will never be put right ever again. The opposition will certainly be against it, ignoring it, and everybody else who don't support the ABs. But underneath of all of that, they'll always know that the whingers are right. And that's a fact.

Ok. Now it's time to support my 3rd choice side. Argentina.

Go Pumas!

Only the English can make the French defeat themselves, it's something to do with 600 years of superiority. But that's in the past now, French teams these days don't explode and get themselves sent off in droves ..... do they?

I shall be sending Brian Moore a large cheque as an incentive to appear on French televison on the hour, every hour for the next 7 days. We need Brian Moore, I wonder if he is available for selection? He can lead the trundlers out of the tunnel and receive a blood injury after 3 minutes.

I am a huge fan of the ab`s but i got to say something
allblacks are chickens!! yes...they are...believe it....
jajaja....
THE HAKA??the lie its over.....don`t do that again...i am very disappointed...
FRANCE - ARGENTINA for the finals??yeeaaayyyyy
[/b]

There is no way we can beat the Boks.... if we beat Scotland

I'm an AB fan too, and today I supported them, but France played very good the second half and they deserved the win. ABs made to much errors today that cost them the match. And don't forget the points that France could do if they wouldn't miss those penalties and the drop at the first half.
[/b][/quote]

THERE IS NO WAY?did you see the games of argentina?are you from argentina?i can`t believe this....

Don't kid yourself mate. The Boks will beat you down and murder you. Far too physical, yes, far too physical for your side. Good luck keeping it below 30 mate. Besides, I hope France win the World Cup overall anyways. They deserve it. They beat the best team in the world today where I bet no one else would have.

Your bloody kidding me France passed us and got on the podium in the A1gp too it just doesn't end lol. I'm gonna go for South Africa now thou a Fiji upset doesn't seem so farfetched these days.

All Blacks didn't turn up and they didn't deserve the win 73%possession and couldn't do nothin with it 1999 all over again :cryy:
