France vs New Zealand

What a day,my heart is still overcloked !!

I believed on a short win, it became reality

First congratulation to the 22 blue. We could see during the Haka that they were all here and ready, their attitude was clearly understable, in first by the AB. On this phase they had already have marked a point.

Second, felicitation to Laporte and the stragedy all the team believed and continued to apply even when we where 13-0 after 35min. A lot of people, here and there were strongly critisazing it.
I still believe that the ABs are still the strongest team, with the strongest individualities.
But what they have to notice is the difference was made because, as we did in 99, we have made them doubt. ABs, as Aussies, by their national competition are not prepared to play so easily matches in such a border line position.

Congratulation too to england, they deserved clearly with a strong defense, with incredible five forwards, but also with very interesting attacks on the left side. That reminded me what they showed us when they won us last spring.

nah i cant get over it lol
i mean like fu** rugby is like a religion here and its not fair to end like this.[/b]

Keep the faith. Cup rugby will blow your mind so much better than the other stuff ...

Vive la France! Until England rush the party ...

May I also note that the French wearing the colors of their flag during the Haka was awesome, that is how you respond to the Haka!

how many times over the last 3 yars have we seen the abs profit from poor reffing decisions, now it goes against them...
[/b]

Can you please name some games to back up this statement? [/b][/quote]

BOD and the lions debacle for one..no citing? BOD is whining? oh yeh his shoudler has just been dislocated (if uve ever done it u know how bad it feels) from being dumped by two players headfirst on the ground but hes a 'sook' and being a cry baby

neways more recently..eng v abs at twickers 2005....first try, dan carter breaks the line and gives a blatently foward pass to umanga...i beleive the final score was 31- 19

eng v nz 2006 - jamie noon dislalowed an obvious try....we may have got spanked but who knows if that early score had been allowed

Exactly right...

I hope we see the All Blacks back playing for their provinces next weekend. [/b]

I don't think they deserve to play for their provinces they go to the world cup and just think they can slot back into squads that have been working hard to get where they are it shouldn't happen.

Look help us NZer's by a least being honest about the ref and if he had an impact. We all know our rugby well enough to know that's the game. But for the next few hours we just would like to hear bad luck better luck in four years. We are aproud nation who normally call it as we see it.
I have to be honest though I laughed my head off when our poor aussie mates got done.
The life of an ANZAC.
I'd love to know if it was just me being a NZ'der or if anyone going for France agrees.

But in saying that - Rugby proves time and time again the best team doesn't always win and pressure of expectation obviously effects performance.

I can't honestly say the French deserved to win. Make no mistake France played exceptionally well defensively and took advantage of questionable referee decisions. But a team that makes 120+ more tackles, has 34% possession and 23% terroritoy should never win a game. Some poor execution from the All Blacks cost them dear. If they had converted once on the four other try scoring opportunities we wouldn't be having this conversation. I'm just happy I removed all the sharp objects from the house prior to game as a precaution. I don't believe this was a choke job. The AB's dominated almost every facet of the game but not many teams can survive having two first-fives go down and continue on to victory.

I'm also a little disappointed that the game was decided by the man with the whistle. Sometimes that's just the way it goes though. The zebras aren't perfect but that one forward pass is going to hurt for a long time and so is the blatant hands in the ruck when NZ were on their last attack. As for me, I huffed and I puffed, most assurdly I broke stuff, until I finally collapsed and cried and cried. For five minutes I allowed myself to grieve, almost as if my mother had just died. But now I feel I am okay. Recently I have gotten used to the stiff disappointment of loss.

Everyone watching the game knows that the forward pass try made a big impact but the All Blacks had their chances and didn't capitilise.

Seemed like a reversal of the 1991 RWC Final at times. Somehow the French got New Zealand playing right into their hands. Those pick and drives were ridiculous - why do that when you have the best set of backs in the world, against a nation renound for sometimes shirking their tackles out wide? Madness.

The second French try did include forward passes, but other than that the game was actually allowed to flow pretty well. McAllister should have been binned, that was the correct decision - the clue was all in the eyes.

And if you can't win with the best set of players in the world and 70% possession...well, there's not much else to say really.

Except why?

I think if it were England and you didn't get a penalty in the second half with that possession you would be puzzled. Penalties often push teams the 1/2 a metre back it takes to really open it up.

Trying hard not to be a whinger - honestly.

Oh OK, then,
there, there, the nasty referee hated you, you were cheated, no other team has ever had to suck up poor calls by a ref, only you, you've NEVER benefitted from bad calls by refs, they should replay the game this time with a nice referee and anyone who says differently is a bad person not entitled to an opinion.

WELL DONE FRANCE

Yep Im watching it again right now and that forward pass wasn't that bad only by about a metre or so the touchy couldn't have seen it cause he was only in front of Michalak but oh well thats rugby i guess.

I agree Luke deserved to go off he could of moved out of the way it clearly shows silly play from him he was doing good too.

Please let it happen to SA over this world cup..please.

GO THE ALL BLACKS IM STILL VERY PROUD OF OUR TEAM WIN OR LOSE I'LL STILL BACK THEM UP

I cant believe France won, but yet again New Zealand have 'choked' in the knockout stages. Theyre consistently the best team yet havent won a world cup in 20 years, it's amazing!
