France vs New Zealand

they won because of 2 people. chabal - of course and the ref. he was standing on the wrong side of the ruck all game it was unbelivable. so many calls which were obvious to be all black, were france and mcallister didnt even touch a player.

but the blacks played extrodanary well. very diciplinced when they needed to be. and its just a shame that they lost.

and in saying that im sick of f***ing nz getting shafted and im selling my soul to the los pumas

Thanks France and England for the most amazing day in rugby history. :bravo:

OK Im shuting my mouth....are you listening something?no?ok....
see you in 4 years....CHICKEN....
HAKA? haahhaha

You're calling chicken to the ABs? Totally unfair and totally out of discussion, don't forget who they really are and what they represent for this sport!

I'm with the guy that suggested you to shut up.

I felt really sorry for Carter when he came off the field.
Was the boy in tears? I ask this because a lot of the New Zealand squad were patting him on the back as if they were consoling him.

<div class='quotemain'> McAlister sin binning was a farce, off balance and that lanky prick Jauzion milked it.
You see the problem with this is, he actually targetted Jauzion. In the replay, you can see he looked up, saw him coming, and took him out. I thought the ref got it right to be honest, at least on that occasion.

You need to ask why McAllister did it, it would never have been a try. It wasnt a necessary foul.

******** mate. It was McAlister's job to mark Jauzion all night, he was his opposite number. He came rushing up and once the kick went in he turned and the two collided (nothing sinister) and Jauzion went down like the ***** he is :ranting:

Oh well, four more years boys. See you in NZ
He saw the ball was gone, he looked at Jauzion and clearly moved to block his path, which is illegal, I would have some sympathy if France were moving the ball along the line as there would have been a chance of Jauzion receiving the ball and therefore free to be hit but this was not the case.

Anyone care to join me for a trip to the WC to shove a stick up Mr Barnes arse ??

Anyway full credit to the french for taking their chances. The ABs did not choke, just a run of extreme bad luck with the injuries and bad calls. Hopefully Ted isn't exiled like past coaches, wasn't his fault.

Where do I sign up? I'll shove a cactus up his ass.

Fair play to France, their defence was immense although after 25 minutes I thought they would lose. And they only made 5 errors in the match, only 2 of which were handling whereas NZ made 10 handling errors.

McAllister's card, definitely justified, he moved from his original position and ran into Jauzion and refs always miss forward passes, especially in quick moves such as that.

McAllister played very well, probably NZ's stand-out back until he failed to drop into the pocket on the France 22. Why didn't McCaw or any of the other senior players tell him to do it? That's the kind of crap you'd catch the current Ireland team doing (if they ever got that close to a good team).

How can you say the yellow card is justified?! If you knew about rugby you would know that he never strayed from his defensive running line, you might as well call a penalty every time someone runs into someone after kicking. On top of that there was no way he was going to get the ball.

But in trying not to sound like i have completely sour grapes the French were great on D and while i dont think they deserved to win they did enough on the day.

Surprisingly this is right on the player who was about to try to score a try. ;)

So, in closing, go France. Well done and I hope you play the Argies in the Final and we finish the tourney as we began!!!!!

That would be great... but only in our dreams!!

ive seen heaps of times people deliberatly running into another player and it hasnt been called. its only if you come of your line and obstruct...then its obstruction. he turned, he didnt come off his line. he didnt have to move out of the way because he was still running the same line.
also how many offsides where there that werent called up.
i know i seem like whinging but french played really well in defence but the ABs also attacked well just didnt convert into points. it doesnt help when u have lots of calls going against you.

No, he can't move from side to side to block a player, if he stays where he was it's fine but once he makes a move and blocks a player that's obstruction.

Didn't actually see very many offsides from either side.

Um, pretty much the whole game. How about when the Ab's were going down the blindside to the try line?

Heart stopping rugby. And after Ireland's slow belch of a contribution, today's results had me up on my feet again.

The ABs were dominant in the two areas I thought they were weak: lineout and midfield. McAlister was wonderful in the first half , slicing through a proven French midfield. But even if he didn't deserve the yellow - and he wasn't innocent - then someone from the AB backrow had to go off (hint - McCaw). Ali Williams had a great game. Losing Carter and Evans was freaky. And who would have thought the ABs would be confined to pick-and-go in the second half?

France's first half kicking tactics - was Laporte trying to lure the ABs in to a trap? It didn't work, and his players rescued themselves through trust in the passing game and tackling for 70 minutes. The Traille-Michalak pass was slightly forward, but what a beauty of a try. Bad judgment to let Ellisalde take the second penalty kick, but France's character was true.

Out of both today's matches, I can't name an outstanding player. Amazing team performances. But France better watch out for the old arrogance against England.

Pity Fiji are SH - otherwise, we might be looking at a complete NH lineup for the semis!

im sure someones gonna complain and it will go to the board or something. oh well thats the least they can do. weve lost now so thats that but its still sh**
ref needs to go back to reffing provenical games.

Evac this thread!
This thread is about to be flooded with tears. :cryy:

he turned to run after the bloody ball

So someone kicked the ball behind him and he runs across sideways, not backwards? No chance mate

In the build up to Soialo's try or when they didn't score/drop-goal-gate?

Both times the rucks were very shoddy and difficult to draw offside lines from. Where did you think the French were offside? Out wide or around the fringes?

nah he was turned the other way and then he turned to the direction of where the ball was heading and the french guy ran into him.
watch the replay.

stop whinging.. bad calls or not there would still be whingin... too much pride.. get over it..

Another note. How many times I saw Harinordoquy using his hands off his feet in the rucks, I lost count. Wayne Barnes obviously didn't see any of them of course. I'm surprised Kaplan didn't point it out, it was blatant as.
This is seriously the worst feeling a Kiwi could have. Anything else I wouldn't care, but this is just an out rage.
The fact that all everyone talked about was this moment, all the hype, the big special reconditioning programs, and just everything, and what? A big fat failure.
We should have won by 20 points at least. We had a way better team, been together for 4 years. What else can this be described as but one big f***ing choke. Regardless of how well the French played, we should have won.
