Form super 15 team

So far and a rough list
1. Ben Franks
2. Adrian Strauss
3. Bean Afeaki
4. Sam Whitelock
5. Dominic Bird De Kock Steenkamp strangely has had a great season IMO so far
6. Steven Luatua
7. George Smith
8. Fotu Auelua Jacques Engelbrecht
9. TJ Peranara Sarel Pretorius
10. Aaron Cruden
11. Julian Savea
12. Robert Ebersohn
13. Rene Ranger
14. Henry Speight
15. Jeese Mogg

I agree with most of this. I'll highlight the few area's I'd probably prefer others. Didn't end up with much changes and bias will show where there is little to seperate.

I like Deon Fourie as a player but he is no hooker!

First team I actually agree with. Although I'd prefer Weepu over Peranara. Last season, Peranara was definitely the in form halfback but Weepu has been amazing since losing his double chin.

I can't understand Perenara being picked over Weepu. Sure TJ has been good so far this season and you'd be an idiot to bet against him going on to be a highly capped All Black but right now I can't see past Weepu. His resurgence in form along with the Blues finding a try scoring back three from somewhere are the main reasons they've looked, at times, like championship winning material this season.

(Disclaimer: I have a massive man crush on Piri Weepu and the Blues are my Super Rugby team)

Yeah id take Weepu every time out of those two. Although Perenara is currently a shoe in for back up AB's half.

This thread is super15 form through and thats probably why Perenara is being selected above him.

Genia is also showing signs of some better form.

Don't really agree as Steenkamp is a number 4 lock, Jacques needs more first time starts to make a claim as the top 8 in the comp

Here my picks

1. Ben Franks
2. Adrian Strauss
3. Bean Afeaki
4. Sam Whitelock
5. Andries Bekker
6. Steven Luatua
7. George Smith
8. Fotu Auelua
9. Will Genia
10. Aaron Cruden but Quade Cooper stepping up fast
11. Julian Savea
12. Jan Serfontein - outclassed Ebersohn on Saturday in only his second start
13. Rene Ranger but Richard Kahui only recently back and should overtake him soon
14. Henry Speight/Willie le Roux - But would put Hosea Gear in if he can play other side as well
15. Jesse Mogg/Israel Folau

Deon Fourie?? As in Stormers Hooker Deon Fourie?

Surely not, also Jantjies has been bang average and downright terrible at times, and Watson has played 22 minutes this season.
I'd struggle to make a comprehensive list with Australasians I watch what I can but it's hard to pass judgement on someone who you haven't watched every game.

My South African 15 would be something like:

1. Nkanye
2. Strauss
3. Malherbe
4. PSdT
5. Bekker
6. Pieter Labuschagne
7. Jaques Engelbregt
8. Cornell du Preez
9. Reinach
10. Lambie (for want of a better option)
11. Mapoe
12. de Villiers (considering JdV's form, I don't think Ebersohn has done enough)
13. de Jong
14. Willie le Roux
15. Ludik
lol Think you missed the trick mate

But seriously

15. Charles Piutau
14. James O'Connor
13. Rene Ranger
12. Alf Mafi
11. Julian Savea
10. Gareth Anscombe
9. Sarel Pretorius
8. Scott Higginbotham
7. Lappies Labuschagne
6. Jacques Engelbrecht
5. Steven Luatua
4. Andries Bekker
3. Pekahou Cowan
2. Ged Robinson
1. Trevor Nyakane

Haha yeah I realized too late ;) .
Think that list is a bit harsh though, your team would still beat a lot of other Super Rugby teams methinks :p.

Not bad, but I think it would be pushing it to select Mafi at 12 (he is a wing/fullback), Luatua at lock (though he can play there he is primarily at 6), Cowan at 3 (again he can play there but is a poor TH, and has spent the entire season at LH). Anscombe at 10 and O'Connor on the wing are interesting choices too......

Had the props turned around but forgot to switch the names when I re numbered it. Anscombe did well at 10 for Blues and he can play it with his eyes close and O' Connor is a brilliant playing on the wing or wherever in the back line. MAfi played center for the Force if I remember correctly. Mostly names of stand outs in imdividuals that list of mine. Its harder to notice some as they rely on team efforts like the Crusaders or the Chiefs. Probably why they aree more successful at times

Deon Fourie is a brilliant player. But not at hooker. Sadly Coetzee can't use him at 6 where he have been brilliant for WP and sadly he didn't bother to import hookers rather than wasting money on 10's that can't tackle
