Super Rugby form XV

15. Isia Toeava - Been the standout back in the competition in my mind (next in line... Ben Smith, who has been classy all season for the Highlanders. I can't remember him making a mistake all season, and has always looked dangerous with the ball in hand)

15. Dagg

wtf.................that 1 Schalk has a black Arm :O LOL :D

1. Jamie Mackintosh
2. Kevin Mealamu
3. John Afoa
4. Sam Whitelock
5. Chris Jack
6. Adam Thompson
7. Matt Todd
8. Victor Vito
9. Andy Ellis (although is still crap)
10. Daniel Carter
11. Lelia Masaga
12. Sonny Bill Williams
13. Jared Payne
14. Sean Maitland
15. Isia Toeava

His form has not been that good. He continues to make numerous basic errors e.g kicking the ball out on full, running when he should kick, going himself when he should pass, and he hasn't even been as dangerous with the ball in hand as Ben Smith (not to mention Toeava..).

I considered Chris Jack, but apart from his outstanding game against he Bulls he's be relatively quiet in my opinion, and his limited game time counted against him.

Masaga has played well in a few games, but his deficiencies has been exposed in a few games as well (e.g against the Crusaders). If I was to pick the best two wings in the competition on form (rather than worry whether they play on the left and right) I'd pick Poki and Maitland, with Guildford missing out due to limited gametime. I think Kade Poki has been at least as dangerous with the ball in hand as Masaga, but hasn't displayed the same weaknesses.

Good to see you managed to fit a Canes player in the team!

Though I tend to agree with you thats not what this thread is about and you can't take it away from Toeava that he's been the form 15 so far and not just those from NZ.

gonna list my 1st and 2nd 15 for NZ

1st 15
1, MacIntosh
2, Mealamu
3, Owen Franks
4, Boric
5, Sam Whitelock
6, Thompson
7, Todd
8, Messam
9, Cowan
10, Carter
11, Guildford
12, Sonny Bill
13, Payne
14, Poki
15, Toeava

2nd 15
1, Crockett
2, jason rutledge
3, Ben Franks
4, Brad Thorn
5, Chris Jack
6, Jerome Kaino
7, Scott Waldrum
8, Read
9, Elis
10, Brett (but only by shear lack of options)
11, Gear (likely be back to the 1st team with gametime)
12, McAlister (would actually be my first choice 10 backup)
13, Fruen (Kahui is very close though)
14, Maitland
15, Ben Smith

key going into World cup? Protect Carter at all costs. With Slade out, Brett & Cruden still not looking like test players, Delaney looking very average and only kicking 60% it is IMO going to come down to either McAlister who is mostly playing 12 or Donald who is currently injured. I hope we get to see McAlister play a couple of games at 10 towards the end of the season and I also hope we see donald back soon and he finds some good form. So at least there is some selection to do and someone is not just selected because they are the only option.
