I think Kahui has overtaken ranger and Conrad smith in his couple of games.
ranger has to be ahead of Conrad Smith though, he's been pretty epic
Cruden has been really good on attack, I think it's interesting for so long everyone talked about how important it was for him to put on weight and he talked about getting to the gym and building up. Well this year he looks to me to be small as ever. I guess he is just embracing what is his strength which is being small and agile. Really helps that the chiefs have two of the best openside flankers in the world covering his channel with him. Sam Cane can clock up 20 tackles a game easy. Also think Aki has been really strong on defense at 12
no way can I make a list myself because to be honest these days I only watch a couple of games a week with Kiwi teams.
My Kiwi 15 would be
1, Ben Franks - no real standout loose heads. I expect Allen, Toby Smith and Jamie Mackintosh to make more of an impact as the season goes on.
2, Coltman/Hika Elliot - honorable mention to Parsons who's been good for the blues with Mealamu resting.
3, Afeaki
4, Whitelock
5, Brodie Retalick - honorable mention to his cousin Callum Retalick who's been really good for the blues, so has Ali Williams
6, Liam Messam - honorable mention to George Whitelock
7, Sam Cane - honorable mention to Hardie who has been one of the most consist highlanders forwards
8, Kieran Read
9, TJP - this kid is surely going to be an All Black, I would select him this year.
10, Cruden
11, Hosea Gear
12, Aki/Crotty
13, Kahui/Ranger
14, masaga - I think the most watchable player in super rugby. Will be a shame to see him go.
15, Ben Smith - honorable mention to Gareth Anscombe who's influence has been a major factor to the chiefs continued success.
