Aston Martin is Canadian
Williams nobody really knows.

Otherwise every team is British including Red Bull. Except Ferarri, Alpha Romeo (who are Swiss) and Alpha Tauri

A bit of a shame the gap from the top 2 teams compared to the rest. If that's replicated in the next couple to qualifying we'll be down to a three horse race.

Ferrari should take advantage of having two ***le contesting drivers compared to RBs one. This means that mathematically they should be accepting any 50/50 offer of contact that Max offers. I think both Sainz and Leclerc will be up for that. Hopefully though they've had discussions behind the scenes and we will see racing rather than dodgems.

Really interested to see how Sainz and Leclerc go in race winning cars. Sainz definitely showed the better racecraft in midfield but Leclerc was instantly comfortable leading in his first season with Ferrari.

I think Leclerc will be quicker in quali ~75% of the time and once he can distance himself from midfield post pitstop he'll be faster than Sainz. I'm a big fan of Sainz but I don't see a world champion in him, in fact I'd back Gasly in an elite car ahead of him.

I'd agree with that but I think there is potential Sainz will become a sort of Alonso figure, who isn't so hot in qualifying but always gets the maximum out of a race through strategy and keeping the car on the road. Speculative at this stage on my part. Not sure who I'll be rooting for this year to be honest.

Another thing I'm interested in is to see how Leclerc and Verstappen race v each other. I think there's a lot more respect between these two than there is Hamilton v Verstappen, they had one of the best and cleanest wheel to wheel battles in Silverstone a couple years ago and have raced each other since no age at all.

After Silverstone and Monza, Verstappen and Hamilton really lost total faith in the other respectively, understandably so to a point. The **** show that ensued was a result of the light punishments for both incidents, the drivers knowing that they had serious power over the FIA chasing a grand stand finish.

Le cleric and verstapen have a history of shoving each other off the track. I think there's a good chance sainz will just shoot through the whole the two esport heros create.

Also if sainz wins today I'm back in

"Horrific start for Bottas"

Some things never change. McLaren look like they got things very very wrong with these new designs. Ferrari and Haas in particular both seem to have improved a lot. The cars are jumping around like crazy under braking.

Hamilton's reaction times to start are incredible at his age. He should, purely by nature, be noticeably slower than the younger guys.

KMag's racecraft rusty.

Wondering if Sainz is playing a team strat role or if he's just that much slower.

Ferrari look best while Merc's race pace looks like it can match RB.

Also staggering to think it's been a year since that horrific Grosjean crash.

Not a great race in normal circumstances but so fascinating seeing the team's try to figure the cars out.

Max showing more composure than we've seen, not just shoving leclerc off the track there.

We shall see how long he can not be a maniac

yeah a year out out of single seaters and he's beating him by two tenths on fastest lap. Really impressive that Haas have a car they can put in the top 10 with a capable driver.

Ferrari pit crew massively improved. Verstappen acting petulant again.
