I think its just sad you're going down this route, this game isn't yours, HB haven't done you any favours...put aside your pride and accept this is complete garbage.

I wouldn't be suprised if this is even a bluff, something to cause a bit of a stir. Get a bit of attention drawn to it.

need to see video of both games to make a fair comparison. the players definitely do not look as good as the crowd or goalposts in the screenshots but that could be in part due to not being able to show off final jerseys and squads yet so they just have some generic textures for the purpose of the screenshot. looking at the crowd,grass and goalposts hb's engine is certainly capable of pulling off something that looks nice to me. anyway it sounds like more info is coming next week while e3 is on looking forward to that.

I'd agree that the Sidhe shots look more polished, but they show nothing of the actual game itself. Anyways, screenshots often look fairly ropey. I'm not going to judge either game until I've either played them or read a half decent review. Seriously, you can't say a game is going to be crap or amazing based on a picture of it guys.

I agree. What I'm saying is I WILL NOT be buying this game. I'll rent through lovefilm first. Its a world cup 2011 game. When you've completed it once what is there to do? total playability will last for about 2-3 hours.

The player size in proportion to the pitch is about bang on. In FIFA the players look to small on the field

Can't read too much into them ..the image itself is not of high quality..zoom in by a few percentage and it quickly becomes pixelated ..and as a result the Players themselves look sub par.
Nobody will be able to determine the quality of the graphics really until we have seen some in game footage.
Having been one of the people who were touting for gameplay > Graphics I am not dreadfully pushed about appearance as long as it plays well... in the same manner that HQ porn of a cracking babe is **** in comparison to actually getting some from a mediocre or ugly chick....thats a pretty warped way of describing it but I'm mildly drunk so lets go with it.

Initial thoughts... looks like a late 1990's PC game on a crummy monitor.
It's just too sharp and crisp, all the players are basically moving the exact same way mechanically.

This has to be a joke, Rugby 08 was fine, graphic fine, but the 2011 version really is going to be something great.
These screenshots are not proving anything, they'll be erased from my memory banks and will await what I KNOW
the new game is going to look like - can't frickin' wait.

The fact that they have to design Eden Park, or Auckland as it will be known in the game, so it is not accurate is absolutely ridiculous for a game that boasts to be the official game of the RWC. If you are going base the entirety of your game solely on the RWC, you think you might have the license for the top two ranked teams in world rugby (All Blacks and Wallabies).

Sadly having two competing rugby games is both a blessing and a curse.

Sorry but what a dissapointment. Had high hopes for this game to bring rugby games up to par but this looks like a throw back to PS2 games. Hopefully this is only early work and I will be pleasently surprised by the end result

b) No one can say that Rugby Challenge is better as no one has played on both to compare them. To judge two entire games based on two screenshots each is just daft
