Thought before the game that it'd be entertaining until someone scored, unfortunately has played out exactly like that. England well on top early on and will still be happy enough despite being less dominant as the half wore on. Italy not posing too much of a threat and leaving England happy to hit on the counter. Immobile's woeful form up front is continuing too, was the biggest question mark against Italy before the tournament and definitely hasn't proven people wrong.
Southgate's tactics have been right, the slow Italian defence haven't been able to deal with Kane's movement or Sterling's pace. They need to avoid getting too defensive though, after they got ahead against Denmark they sat back and nearly let the Danes back into it. Doing it for too long with a one goal lead can leave you vulnerable to bad luck, you just one thing to go wrong (as Denmark found out). Think another England goal would kill it, Italy don't have the quality up front to come back from a bigger deficit.
