EPCR Challenge Cup 23/24

More stupidity, Clermont were handling the defence well - no need to slap that away

This should be a penalty try, he doesn't go for the ball at all just runs at the player

Edit: think he's been very generous to the pace of the two forwards tracking back to say they'd have stopped the try

The standard for penalty try is quite low. It's just a probably scores a try if not for defenders action. He probably scoops that and outruns the other defenders coming back.

Clermont the biggest bottlers in the sport atm?
Even Kayser was saying they've got no bottle before the game
No way they should've lost that after they got into such a lead

Should Gloucester's first try have been allowed?
Scorer gathered the ball while knee's were on the ground, on the floor out of the game I thought!

Very torn on this one,
On the one hand I don't like South African sides being in the European cups, on the other I don't like Gloucester and think it would be very funny if they lost after showing such contempt for the Prem

Really torn with this one. I like South African sides and think it is great they are playing in European rugby competition. But I also quite like Gloucester, and it would be great if they won two trophies this season even though they finished 9th in the league.

Going for Gloucester!

Power and set pieces matter.

Regardless, you know it's not going to be your night when Koch's nailing delicate 50:22s.

I don't like the threat of a yellow for being beaten in the scrum

"Find a solution" - to what? They're just being beaten
Just let the scrums go and make sharks use it, the aim of a scrum should be to play rugby not play for penalties

At worst a free kick should be given.

agreed. I can see a PK may be when a pushover try can be scored but in the middle of the field just restart pay. Unless the feeding side is taking it down to prevent a contest just play on.

I like the Cherry & White too but they're getting throttled right now. It's 29-3 Sharks with 20 minutes left to play.
