This could be historic ya know...Pumas' first victory in Ireland.
I hope not, I support the Irish...
but regardless, should be FULL of heart from both sides this one.

Pumas or Phumos (pumas + humos (smoke in spanish)... If the real Pumas play against Ireland may be Argentina could win. We need to back to solid rugby, that means a good defense and intrepid attacks. I hate Phelan, I hate frogs, still angry.... My heart says Argentina, my brain says Ireland. Land of "William Brown" will win for sure.

Argentina have a real chance of a win. There's always a good rivalry between these two teams - if we had our full / near to full squad I'd say We would win comfortably. With all our players and now possibly Sexton out, Argentina to win for me.

Argentina's Juan Figallo has been cited for a headbutt on Pascal Papé (photo and video shamelessly stolen from here):

Given how he's playing, and te lack of depth that Argentina have right now, we could see:
a) A much weaker Argentinean scrum, or
b) Roncero coming out of retirement (never gonna happen, just wishful thinking)

Sexton better be fit or it could be ugly. Cmac has promised if Gilroy isn't selected he'll prick Kidney with a really rust piece of metal. So that's something to look forward to.

Imagine if Earls or O'Gara is at 10 ......the horror.

I think I wouldn't actually mind Ireland lose then

1) Cian Healy
2) Richardt Strauss
3) Mike Ross
4) Mike McCarthey
5) Donnacha Ryan
6) Peter O'Mahony
7) Chris Henry
8) Jamie Heaslip
9) Eion Reddan (if fit)/ Paul Marshall
10) Jonathon Sexton
11) Craig Gilroy
12) Gordon D'Arcy
13) Darren Cave

I'll hold off on picking a winner until I see the Ireland team. It should be a tight game but Ireland should be much fresher.

I'd rather have Henderson over O'Mahony to be honest.
D'arcy or Earls at 12? Who's least ****?
D'arcy needs O'Driscoll to be at any sort of international level.

I'd love to see a team of

1. Healy
2. Strauss
3. Ross
Front row picks itself
4. Tuohy/McCarthy (Tuohy needs international game time but McCarthy was great against the Saffas
5 Ryan

6. O'Mahoney
7. Henry
8. Heaslip
Once again best we have, I love seeing Henty in an Irish jersey

With the backs I'm going to have two backlines
Best possible
9. Murray
10. Sexton
11. Gilroy (I don't think tree's any choice but whenever something could be ****ed up Kidney's your man)
12. Cave (I think this is about as imaginative as DK will go. D'Arcy isn't up to international level anymore :( and...)
13. Earls (WILL GET WHAT HE WANTS)
14. Bowe
15. Zebo (Hopefully the pumas won't make a clan line break)

Cmac's choice

9. Paul "The big man" Marshall (Really quickened up the backline against Fiji and exactly what we need)
10. Sexton
11. Gilroy
12. McFadden (Obviously will never happen as McFadden is better at centre than wing and Earls vice versa so Kidney must pick McFadden as a wing and Earls a centre)
13. Cave (No this is Earls position)
14. Bowe
15. Earls (Started his career as a fullback and was pretty good)

@BG8 I'm an honorable man too and I won't discourage anyone if they wished too supply me.

My preferred team:
Zebo, Earls, Cave, McFadden, Gilroy, Sexton, Reddan; Healy, Strauss, Ross, Ryan, McCarthy, Henderson, O'Mahoney, Heaslip. Subs: Cronin, Kilcoyne, Bent, O'Callaghan, Henry, AN Other, Jackson, D'arcy

Cronin, Bent (since Ross gets gassed quickly lately), O'Callaghan (deserves it after his A performance v Fiji), Henry and Da'rcy are good impact subs. On present form, I wouldn't have Tommy Bowe in the 23.

I don't know what Earls has done to suggest that he is in better form than Bowe....

I'm on the fence with Henderson. I think he has a great future but not sure if I would drop Henry or POM for him just yet. I really wish McFadden had some game time at inside centre...

Fair point. Neither Bowe nor Earls have been performing as well as they can.

Agreed, Earls probably needs abit of game time back at wing. I think that Bowe has been off form, particularly for the Ospreys last season but he has never let Ireland down.

All of you are picking rubbish teams and the one I pick is the ideal one:

1. Healy
2. Strauss
3. Ross
4. McCarthy
5. Donnocha O'Callaghan (presuming Ryan is out)
6. Henderson
7. Henry
8. Heaslip

9. Murray
10. Sexton (or if Injured Earls)

11. Gilroy
12. Marshall
13. Cave
14. Zebo/Bowe
15. Earls (or if he's playing 10 you have Zebo at FB and Bowe Wing)

That team would beat all the other teams 673yui2wytue2556567788 - 0

I dunno about a fully healthy Ireland "winning comfortably" quite at all...no offense, I'm an Ireland fan myself but...
If this Irish squad managed to hold off SA and then just lose by 4 tiny lil pts, hey, I can see Ireland taking this one...Ireland is just so different at home.
Sure we've got to check the squads out (esp. for IRE) and ARG do have the advantage with their speed, guys like Imhoff...they'll surely score at least one try.
