EOYT: England vs South Africa, 24/11/2012

Haha, the commentary then:

"England do have a problem....Mo botha is coming on for Joe Launchbury"

England getting momentum at thr right time from their POV. This could be the ultimate theft should they pull it off

I'm a massive fan of Robshaw, have been for years, but I'm not sure whether there's a place for him in the England squad at the moment.
Haskell played very well from the bench today, carried hard and tackled well - Wood did much better at the breakdown.
Robshaw gets through a lot of work, absolutely, but is he a better 7 than Wood or as effective (at the moment) a 6 as Haskell?

and while he's a great leader of the team, his decision making ain't the greatest.
That last shot at goal is 50/50 - if he'd have made the decision straight away rather than wasting 20-30s then yeah, there's time to work for a DG, but I dunno.
Could've worked out if Botha had let the ball go dead. Definitely doesn't deserve the hate he'll undoubtedly get for it.

I think a draw would've been a fair result for the game as neither side were good.

Robshaw gets ripped apart, his place brought in to question by the press for not going for the posts against Australia. Now he's going to get ripped apart for going to the posts. Cant win.

Crap game, crap performance by both teams, and the ref was utter ****.

Thought Lambie did alright though.

Because each time he was wrong, that's why the media have and will slate him for it. Incidentally if he made both calls correctly, especially todays, he might have won

Like I said after the Aus game, Robshaw SHOULD NOT be captain. Cost us the Aus game, cost us this game, cost his team a Heineken cup quarter final place last season. Bottler when it comes to making the right decisions in the big games.

Flood should be dropped as he can't get his kicks, no better in attack and getting the backline moving than Farrell, and Farrell can at least kick.

We need more ball players; Barritt should be out for Joseph.

Brown showed why he should NOT be on the wing, poor support line ruined our best chance at a try.

I'm fed up with Lancasters half arsed selections. If you want to play an attacking game with Youngs, Flood, Ashton and Tulagi, why the hell put a full back on the wing and play Barritt instead of Joseph??? Its mad. Equally, we could play a team with 2-3 kickers on the field (Flood, Farrell, Goode) and we have a beefy pack, so why don't we play to win by a multiple of 3 and make sure we get a few SH scalps? I just wish there was some out and out conviction in the team selection.

I really think that England is not far to do something on the 2 last matches. Just un-experienced and unrealistic decisions on 2 or 3 important moments but overall, in the game, England is good and will defenitely improve. It is still frustrating though I guess for an english fan.

I don't agree because many a England fan want Eng to play attacking rugby, go for touch more, including me. And i thought England were very unlucky not to get a try against Aus at the end - 1 Knock on over the line and the other times they lost the ball was more knocks on, or silly penalties.

England's decision making is terrible all over the field and its not something that can be trained very easily.

It was, last week was more of a risk but it was one that needed to be taken. Todays though was insanely wrong. Although, in fairness, the kick was made and had Botha not tried to catch the restart that was going straight out England would have had possesion on half way and the way that Owens was reffing the scrum there could have been another chance at a kick at goal.

I get that but today with under 2 minutes left and trailing by 4 why go for 3 when you can have a real go for the 5 or 7 pointer? Its not about playing the game the right way its about making calls that, ultimately, cost you a win
