England's back line

More likely that JJ would, imo.
Burgess and Eastmond would probably both play "centre" rather than inside/outside.

Ford has just said for the umpteenth time that he will "probably end up in the pack".
That isn't a throwaway comment - he has repeated it intentionally.

We'll come to which centre is going to jump ship if and when Burgess has failed to be a forward.

Listen to what the guy who has recruited him is saying!

Ah okay but then where would JJ go really.

I guess with burgess being considered a centre it at least adds extra mad to the back line.

Interesting though that he will play centre would have though ford would put him in the back row.

;)

Yeah, he's certainly got the dimensions/attributes to be a fine backrower. Just have to see if that's their plan further down the line or something.

Yeh that is my thinking maybe Lancaster has told ford Snr that he wants Burgess as a centre. Think that was part of the deal.

Although I'm sure there will be official statements coming out soon.

But Lancaster has no say in this whatsoever! Bath have bought him...there has been absolutely no financial input by the RFU so they have no say whatsoever about here he plays!

You couldn't be more wrong, the rfu helped finance the deal and were also the middle men. I haven't heard anything directly saying otherwise.

I've also heard that Sam burgess will be exactly the same as sonny bill Williams and Sam will win us the World Cup single handedly with his off loads

How much have the RFU put in? Im was convinced it was solely a Bath aquisition?

Rats was telling me I think, that the rfu put in half the transfer fee and also the introductions to burgess and Bath.

;)

No watch Burgess's highlights and you will see he is a different beast to SBW.

So if Burgess plays 12, wonder if eastmond may plan to move.

I think he should go Quins if he does.

Is he better tackler than SBW?

Stats say he's a beast...

Whatever happens he'll bring Bath/England a huge amount of physicality. The idea of a 12/6 hybrid is interesting. However, do we actually need his physicality?
