England's back line

Injury I think. I remember him starting well but getting crocked by about week three of the season?

He was very impressive in Argentina, indeed for me the wa our wingers performed out there was as much to do with having a creative running 13 as it was to do with having a creative running 10.

Wilson's a kiwi isn't he?

Yeah.

Anyone else noticed Nick Mullins repeating that Kieran Longbottom is EQP.
He said it multiple times over the weekend. The guy was about to be capped by Australia and he's been here for about 3 days.
He's EQP in the same way as millionaires qualify for winter fuel allowance by virtue of them being old.

Anyone with twitter want to have a word, please!?

Just from the Quins v Sarries game Fraser has to be above Robshaw. Though it is easier to look good in a team winning 39-0 but he has made, in two games, 29 tackles-won 4 turnovers-missed 2- and scored a try.

I have noticed it and thought all the time 'why the **** would we want him' i would rather have Cole, Wilson, Sinkler

I'm going to try and reserve judgment on Robshaws form until the rest of Quins' pack start pulling their own weight. I think he was probably our best forward, along with Easter.

Don't get me wrong hew had an excellent game, his carrying was really impressive which I have never seen from him before. But I would still give it to Fraser as he was MOTM from that game.
If I was to pick a team from the limited amount of rugby i've seen and read from here
1.Corbisiero 2.George 3.Sinkler(in the scrum he was poor but his play in the loose was brilliant) 4.Kruis 5.Launchbury 6.Haskell 7.Fraser 8.Vunipola 9.Youngs 10.Ford 11.Strettle 12.Hill 13.Not sure really probably Manu 14.Wade 15.Brown

When are we going to make an EOYT thread ?

I was just thinking that. The new kit has been revealed so its practically November, maybe we should do it now...

I thought Robshaw was exceptional in a well beaten team, he linked well and showed some nice touches with his hands, and was exactly what you expect from the England captain.

I thought more worrying for Quins was Marlers inability to lead the team when they needed it.

On form I'd have:

6 wood or ewers possibly
7 Haskell
8 billy looked well off pace haven't seen Morgan much yet (only 1 game televised) not sure really

On form why would you have Wood/ He's not tearing it up and looked pretty invisible yesterday.

From that link GN10 just posted, I think quins need to be reminded that wearing the All-blacks' shorts won't make them play like all blacks.

Haskell > Wood right now, easily.

Oh yeah, that and our lack of attacking penetration was the worse part. However I think Marler will be fine in a week or two. O'Shea and Robshaw will have a chat with him this week and tell him if he keeps going for touch when our line our drive isn't working they'll shave his beard off or something. That should do the trick.

Someone make an EOYT thread. When we get to discussing hypothetical 15s and the rise of specialist forwards on a back line thread, you know its time.

Corbs didn't seem to have a good day vs Cittadini.

Thought a lot of that was to do with Cittadini doing very well (he made Corbs' outside shoulder his *****) and the refs apparently being told to stop LH's from boring in.

Fair. I've got to say, with only a slight touch of hindsight, that Cittadini might be the signing of the year. Really impressed me last 6N for Italy.

I think JJ has looked excellent in the game time i've seen so far.

Can't say i've noticed on the backrow front.

Current England team on FORM for me:

01: Corbisiero, 02: Hartley, 03: Wilson, 04: Parling, 05: Launchbury, 06: Haskell, 07: Robshaw, 08: Vunipolo, 09: Youngs, 10: burns, 11: Strettle, 12: Burrell, 13: Manu, 14: Ashton, 15: Wilson

That'd be a bit different ot who i'd select if i was Lancaster, and very different to a premiership 15 :)

Strettle and Ashton ?!? You're really upsetting me now ;)

Personally I thought Corbs problems came from the fact that the Northampton pack seemed off the boil a bit ? Did Christian Day play ?
