England's Argetine Adventure

Somebody just actively selected Mo Botha...

Well, TRF, it's been golden.
See you on the other side.

I remain,
Olyy

Who would you rather have? Robson or Deacon? Believe me, it was with a heavy heart.

Thought Kitchener was in the premiership final. It was also based on the Saxons and Lancaster's likely pick.

Still, I guess it's seppuku for me.

Hurrr durr I'm a tard.

Garvey then. I'll also accept Myall or Holmes, maybe Cannon... Charlie Matthews, I'll take Charlie Matthews ahead of Botha... hmm, who else...

Chat roulette seppuku?

We might as well chuck someone with a realistic chance of being picked in the future, given that there are no available standout players without one.
Garvey would be my pick.

Haha, don't worry. I think people think of Botha as one of those "coaches picks" that no one seems to get. Like half the team under MJ.

If Tigers go for the same team that played against Quins, doesn't that mean Slater will be available? (Parling and Kitchener start, Mafi on the bench.) Only thing is that he might not be available to train with England.

Still haven't heard if we can watch this on tv . The baa baas game is on SS1 but has anyone heard anything about the other 3 games ?!

Am I the only one surprised that Tigers prefer Kitchener to Slater to start?

What does Deacon even do nowadays - A games?

Maverick! I'd be extremely surprised if Sky Sports don't get coverage of this. First string England if your willing to overlook the absence of the Lions guys. 9/10 Sky even get saxons games.

Slater's been injured, that's why.

Sky had a summer of sports advert on the other day, and it said Eng v Arg, so I imagine that the tests are. Doubt the midweeks will be.

Anyone else noticed that teams in the Premiership seem to like "second row flankers" these days? Nearly every 4 on the England radar seems to also play a bit of 6 too: Kruis, Slater, Lawes, Savage, Launchbury and Garvey.

Apparently Daly's been selected by the Barbarians. Could be an awkward moment when he outplays Goode...

Those guys are trying to occupy a half-way house, apart from maybe Slater and at a stretch Lawes.

None of those guys are equally as good in both positions, and only play at six because their club's SR options are stronger than their blindsides.

I'll leave those there, the first one is a good read, and contains a couple of snippets gathered from the press conference that haven't been shared until now.
One being that Lancaster seems to like Attwood's lineout work as much as his physicality.
