England XV v Barbarians

Cipriani can't kick..... :p

Better carrier than Billy or Ben?
Different type - not as big/powerful as either but much quicker/more agile and (imo) more intelligent player.
Runs some excellent lines and has deft hands for a big lad too.

Jack Clifford is a fine looking player as well. I don't recall us having this many top young 20s players for a long time.

Fully deserved 2nd try for Cips. Bar Bar's have been awful but can't ignore the skills of these backs.

They should have swapped some players at half time like kids do in preseason....... Waldrom n an England shirt, Monye back in the 15 shirt :)

Good performance impressed with most.

Nice to see Geraghty with some pure class touches

So Clifford, is he a 6? A 7? Or an 8?

I've seen him at 6 for quins but no idea where he should play naturally

He isn't a specialist that is for sure. Looks like a great bench player to have though.

Well done cips, thought you were a busted flush but happy to be proved wrong. Nice to see launchbury back doing the hard work making others look good and it's great to see Tait back in white better than Goode any day

Not a bad performance, I mean the BaaBaas might as well of not turned up but you still have to put points on them.
In the pack I thought Brookes, LCD, Launchbury, Slater and Clifford were all class. Brookes looked great in defence, his carrying is strong too and he must be neck and neck with Wilson. LCD (throwing aside) was monumental and no other hooker could do what he did. Throwing is definitely an issue though, he had Clifford, Beaumont, Slater, Wilson and Launchbury to aim at. Normally we have the two locks and then Haskell or Robshaw who aren't great jumpers. If we were to put Vunipola and Morgan in the same backrow through injury or gameplan then I think he would struggle even more. Mr Bury looked like he'd never been away, Slater played well.
In the backs with Simpson at 9 it could have been even better but instead we had the most annoying Captain ever..
Cips and Slade worked well, the ball went wide and was quick and precise. Slade should be tried at 12 I the next game with Joseph, Daly looked okay but not really anything that incredible. Yarde was brilliant and Wade was hilarious with that drop but still great. Tait didn't seem that incredible when I was there but ill watch it and see more of him.

Was a bit surprised to see Launch packing down behind Brookes in the scrums. People had mistakenly stated that he's one of the "lighter" locks, which I knew was rubbish, but I would have thought Slater would have offered more grunt.

Tait cant even touch him
