England vs Wales - 12/08/23

Really.
They maybe holding the ball but still no imagination.
Players look scared to plays heads up rugby.
Where are the off the shoulder runs from Marchant and Daly.
The sort of runs they do for their clubs
England's game plan is far too rigid. Has been for the last 4/5 years

That's because he is shocking
Passing is poor, is constantly slow or on the wrong side of of the ruck and kicking is either too short or long
He may have skills, but he is too nervous and worried about the game plan.
All the players look like they are trying too hard to play to a game plan and not looking at what is in front of them.

Yes, but he's miles off Warr's form/Warr would fit this gameplan way better (literally think he'd be the best at this gameplan in the country, barring maybe an on form Ben Spencer)
He looks like he enjoys his rugby, that alone would be refreshing here.

True, just adding another SH who would be higher up the list than Youngs or VDP.

Score wise Wales are better off this week with their B team versus Englands A

Plus he wraps all his fingers in tape for some reason, which is a more entertaining sight than anything we've seen England do in the last three halves of rugby

At that level, it remain only one option. It's a subterfuge for masking the real England potential before the world cup.

Is this really their B team though?
Throw in Biggar and LRZ, maybe Faletau, and I could see this side playing the big games

Rotated, sure, but not a million miles off

Im taking the small wins we conceded zero even with 14, Lawrence seems to be carrying well. Faz ive seen some ok stuff. I just hope this is teething issues for us to put more together and build.

Anyone who epected an exciting game today from England was kidding themselves, so many new combinations will take time to gel and also Borthwick isnt a flare sort of coach.

Main thing i want to see is us get some continuity to actually make us looking like scoring.

All that said the lack of tries is concerning.

If they continue the trend from last week of second half comebacks then England are toast
