Wales v England - 05/08/23 5:30 KO

You couldn't batter a fish judging by today's standards just saying..
You're a boring knacker you like. I'd wait until you've won at Twickenham next week before giving it big licks. Especially since you lost to this pile of garbage in the last COMPETITIVE game we played in the 6 Nations.

Well, as I said before, the RWC fills me with dread.
I can't remember a match where we dropped so many balls.
Shocking really.

10/15 lineouts is embarrassing. Hope Opta can put it into perspective with their historical stats.

23 turnovers. Don't know how many of them were in contact but it seemed a lot were just in basic hands situations.

Same old England. Promise so much in the run up then fail to perform.
Ludlum, Genge, Steward and Marchant apart, the rest were average at best and that's being generous.
Blamire, , Big Joe and Malins should leave right now. Did Dan find his man once in the lineout?
Why does Sinkler look so disinterested? Porter invisible apart from his knock on.
The handling errors from an international side were dreadful.

Well done Wales. Morgan and Costello exceptionally good. The team is on a better trajectory toward the RWC than England on that showing.
Lets see what team SB puts out in the return match.
To think we have another 4 years of SBo_O

He'll get Truss'd if the RWC continues the theme of his tenure so far.

**** knows who we hire after giving Leicester all our money, but we won't leave the group with this dross.

Argentina will be looking forward to the first game in the RWC after that showing.
I think we'll see a completely different 15 in the return match.

I can't see how he could carry on if we have another poor WC then six nations. Fans patience only lasts so long and his personality and Englands current style of rugby aren't doing him any favours. He's had players for two months now and he's still 2 wins from 6. He'll be struggling to have a 50% win ratio at this rate.

One of the many pods i listen too say he's like a school teacher in camp and it's not all hunky dory as it seems.

Well I guess rhe first warm up game is the place to do it.

From the stats 22/23 turn overs, lost five lineouts and missed twenty odd tackles. That is pretty poor.
I guess it gives them something to focus on. Handling has been an issue for a long time. Needs addressed finally.

Yes but why. No other team from Tier one all the way to Tier three seems to have this issue when under seemingly minimal pressure.
Maybe the prem isn't as good as we think and it's highlighted when they play internationals....

I'm starting to think so.

Think that lets the coaches off the hook tbh,
The premiership has internationals from nations all over the world, including in the side that beat England today and most other games that happened today, none of them look markedly worse when stepping up to international level - only England players

They've all been passing and catching and carrying into tackles since they were barely out of nappies. How does this get coached out of them? I don't think you can blame the Prem when even the Quins players are just dogshit at it in the national team

Far bigger problems than this, but did anyone think - not for the first time IMO- that Freddie Steward lacked the necessary ground speed to deal with test match rugby?

Sure he's an aerial expert but I can't help but feel his weakness is exposed.

Not surprised to see a back three switch around

Japan & Samoa as well

Just caught up...wish I hadn't. I wasn't hopeful of a good performance, but I hoped we'd at least show some improvement. Nope, if anything we've gone backwards. Maybe these were the fringe players who might not make the plane, but many still will and it was dire.

Fair play to Wales, they took their chances and took advantage of England being ****.
