England Vs South Africa

England have just reached a new low... Why, oh why did Ashton put Farrell at Out- Half? He's clueless enough in the center as you saw in the Six Nations. Should have brought Flood or Geraghty on in instead. All I can say is goon the Springboks!

Going by that performance, I reckon the Hawke's Bay backline would have put up a better fight than what the English did today

What a boring game, no intensity whatsoever, the boks pretty much had it wrapped up before halftime.
England were shite, there forwards plodded around the field and it really says something when their best back is a guy who decided to come out of international retirement for one last hurrah.
I can't say I agree with everyone who is saying this game shows SAF now look like a serious ***le contender. To be quite honest they have yet to be tested at all. They came up against a Samoan side who got demoralised by the ref, were poorly organised and had lost a few players to injury, but showed the Bok defense is not impenetrable if you have powerful ball runners and a back line which can actually attack.
After that they came up against an England side who have nothing in attack and were just slightly better organised on defense than Samoa.
I feel if the boks had held onto the ball rather than kicking the up and unders so often the scoreline would have been even bigger than that. They actually gave the English far too much respect.

Well What to say....

THANK YOU RFU FOR MAKING ME HATE ENGLISH INTERNATIONAL RUGBY!!! Wish you all the best in your quest to have England drop out of the top 10 in the IRB Rankings... Also please don't use your incompetence to manage an international squad as an excuse to try and change the league, as we as the fans know thats what you want to do...

Basically RFU = Stuffed shirted pawn sandwich eating c***S!!!

Also Good Luck South Africa

This is my first post!

I was impressed with the boks today, and im not just saying that because we won or because as my Login-in name suggests im a huge fan :p !!!

But almost every component of our play worked and worked well, im still a bit concerned about our scrums (thier were a few tightheads and we need too have a look at) other than that though we played a near perfect tactical game I thought, granted England didn't play too well, but thats very difficult to do in your own half for 2/3rd's of the game against a rock solid defence and 9,10,12,15 are all excellent kickers and on form, and they just relentlessly kept applying the pressure, and England just couldn't handle it. And I can't really point a finger at any SA player today they were all just superb.

There is still a long way to go in this tournament and anything can still happen, but I think if the boks keep this kind of form up, we may may just be in this for the long haul :)

Anywayz well done bokke!!! :bravo:

That match was from a english point of view shocking.

We knew it was coming though tbh, it was just hope that we thought something might happen.

I really hope the English side gets torn up when they come back home next week or in however long we need a complete reworking of the team. I know BA said prior to this RWC we were there to try and surprise people, but that hasn't work with Dad's Army so why don't we actually surprise people after this RWC and drop a Hell of alot of players and start working the basics. Maybe instead of looking for the fowards to do all the work as we do in every single game, try out some Speed in our backline. Stop trying to make people who play in one position for club play somewhere different for country.

The GP is gonna be a brilliant league this year and with some more time probably only get better, so why is the English international game going so wrong?

No problem

You needed someone to tell you the truth before it happend.

I'm so glad we have a visionary like you here DC, it's almost like everyone else expected the complete opposite of your prediction... <_<

Jeeez, England got a hammering from Ireland 6 months ago, but that was even worse. They'll still get to the quarters, but will anyone be watching? The only thing I'll add to the complaints above is that Lewsey didn't touch the ball until the third quarter - f***ing nuts! And where were the garryowens for the fullback to field???? Not one! England made that same mistake a year ago, when Hodgson was at #10 - I forget which match. SA were smart enough to give plenty high ball to Robinson, who played 8/10 until that sad hamstring snap.

SA are building nicely, with good lineout and backrow, although their scrum is creaky. Du Preez looked like a master. Steyn held up well, played conservative. Butch even did an impression of ROG, drilling the ball into the corners. And Habana didn't bother scoring - what a nice chap.

the lack of anything in the english side will give the samoans huge hope!! who knows the world champs could be going home next saturday :/

I, like most of us expected the Springboks to win but that performance from the English was shocking...and boring too. Right from the very start when the Springboks scored, I was thinking England vs Samoa would be the match of the pool. That first five of England was too slow and where were their backline??? I'm tipping Samoa to reach the quaters...hopefully.

Well noted Shtove, I just want to draw some attention to the sportmanship involved when robinson went down with that hammy, if the Boks were half as nasty as some TRF citing officers think then they could've pummled him while he was going down and turned over the ball.

Does anyone think Rob Andrew resembles Mr Bennet from heroes?

What else were we expecting, England were always going to get rolled, missing Vickery, Dallagio, Barclay, Wilkinson, they had nothing in attack and South Africa were supurb.

England will come 2nd in there group and should play Australia in the QF should Australia come first in there group, that will be good to watch

Martin Corry........... absolute joke. Entertainment value at it's best watching this guy trying to keep up with the play to no avail. He's the worst thing ever to come out of England. Everyone else looked mercurial compared to this nob

Please. The public will ignore rugby if the national side loses to Samoa and get embarassed by South Africa. The Premiership will see a significant drop in attendance. There is a relationship and it's just cause and effect.
