England vs Italy - 10/03/2013

Ben Howard in the U20s is a very big boy and might offer that option but elsewise, no, we've simply turned out tons and tons of elusive nippy buggers that we then refuse to pick. Hope Benjamin comes back well next season.

I also now want Jack Nowell on the summer tour.

Don't care if he's injured- would still take him over Ashton right now <_<

Got some tickets for the game so I'm hoping the 'Ashton+Flood=Tries' theory works. Doubt it though. It is pretty galling considering that Ashton scored most of his tries when England had, for the most part, a less exciting and creative back line than they do now. I know this isn't an original vieww but I think that England's lack of a real go forwards, line breaking full back is the reason Ashton has been unable to score consistently.

Anyone know what the weather is going to be like? ******* it down and blowing a gale I hope. I hope the scores are close, so that we still have a chance of the championship next week. I'd be happy if England don't increase their points difference by more than 10.

Bloody Welshman <_<

Fortunately the game's not down in the Valleys so it's cold as all hell but it's (thankfully) not raining. I for one, as a completely impartial observer- who may or may not have grown up in England for the first 18 years of my life- hope for some expansive free-flowing rugby, involving many, many English tries.

You know- for the love of the sport.

Boooo.

The love for the sport can wait another week. A crappy game today sets up a better finish next week, with everything on the line. That's what's best for the neutrals, and maybe us Welsh fans as well, but no it's for the neutrals...

No, no, no- the tension of a potential Grand Slam finish is much more exciting for the neutrals. If we've got their interest at heart then a 20+ point drubbing of Italy is really what's best for the championship....

38 points margin will not only beat the average points difference for this fixture but leave Wales needing a nice round 50 points difference to win the Championship by one point...............I'll go for that and wait to be proved wrong!!

Nigel Owens telling Clancy he's got that wrong and he ignores him. Looks to me like Owens was right.

Would have been a beautiful try if Parisse had caught that ball...

That pass from Parisse was absolute class. Why oh why couldn't he have been born in the Home Nations...

How can England not score a try there? ****ing terrible team. It was about 6 on 1!

Beautiful rugby from both sides to hold up that effort...

Arg, Clancy deciding to be a d*ck at the scrum!

Haha, Deallaglio: Tuilagi with delicate hands. Basically just knocked into his hand and lucky not to knock it on.

England should be further ahead. Italy now down to 14, England should put a few points on the board now.

Somewhatt exaggerated by Flood's antics and why no advantage to England?

Ashton is such an average player. He was once a good support runner, that's about it. Can't defend, can't pass, doesn't create anything for himself or others....

Care isn't really doing his chances any good so far. I thought Goode butchered that try chance, it had to go wide and perhaps was lucky it wasn't accidental offside. Clancy made the right call with the knock-on, he touched it. Personally I would bring on Youngs and Burns at half-time.
