England v Scotland, 02/02/13

Update: Foden and Josephs apparently released back to their clubs.

Yep. Just seen on the bbc that Twelvetrees is set for his debut. Judging by the fact Farrell will start at 10, that probably means Twelvetrees will be starting? I just hope he's picked at 12.

Very surprised tbh, I guess there must be pretty serious concerns about Joesph if he's been released then? Based purely on the way Lancaster has stuck to his pecking order thus far...

I guess we can assume this will be the line-up then:

1. Marler/Vunipola (hard to call)
2. Youngs
3. Cole
4. Parling
5. Launchbury
6. Wood
7. Robshaw
8. Morgan
9. Care
10. Farrell
11. Ashton
12. Twelvetrees
13. Barritt
14. Strettle
15. Goode

I reckon Youngs, Care and Farrell will retain their positions.

Anyone reckon which way round 36 and Barritt are gonna go?
I reckon Barritt will move across, simply because playing 36 out of position for his first cap doesn't seem like something Lancaster would do?

Does this not worry anyone that it could be -

Flood at 10
Farrel in the centre
Twelvetrees on the bench

I just imagined Lancaster choosing Joseph over TT if he wanted either of them in the center.

9. Ellis
10. Hodgson
11. Cueto
12. Hape
13. Tindall
14. Sackey
15. Balshaw

*shudder*

Rather have Balsh than that Dr Jonathon whatshisname of the 1990's.........................................................

I will **** a brick if that's what happens, although it's actually the most likely option now that you mention it.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Farrell start at 12, at all.
Still got my fingers and toes crossed for Twelvetrees though.

Wonder what the make up of the back three will be? Goode on the Bench, Brown 15 and Strettle wing?
I'm hoping Brown on the wing, despite Strettle being an actual winger.
Why Biggs? He's like a slow version of Paul Diggin.
Except he's fast and isn't a perfect circle :p

Bwaha... Paul Doran Jones may be the thin replica of Diggin, but never ever embarrass yourself by implying Biggs has a semblance of pace in his body. It's only yourself you're fooling!

Just worried that Lancaster will be of the mind that Farrel at 12 worked against Scotland last year so why not this time.

Ill wait until thursday before I judge though because TT in the centre would actually be a good call in my opinion if he makes it.

Biggs has pace.

Of all the "well-rounded" wingers (those who can tackle/take high ball) in England, he's the best attacking threat imo
(talking about Strettle and Monye btw)

I can only assume you're either a Bath fan or new to the game of rugby union.

That's him......once at Twickers international where he having usual awful game and me being my usual calm and placid self when guy next to me asked very politely if I could "calm down my, probably valid, criticism as he is my son"!!!

Ah that's class. That happened to a mate of mine, I'll have to ask him to retell the story next time I see him.
I think it involved Austin Healey...

Squad:
Forwards:Cole, Hartley, Haskell, Launchbury, Lawes, Marler, Morgan, Parling, Robshaw, M Vunipola, Wilson, Wood, T Youngs
Backs: Ashton, Barritt, Brown, Care, Farrell, Flood, Goode, Strettle, Twelvetrees, B Youngs

Why are you mentioning Ashton?

I said I would take Biggs instead of Strettle or Monye.

Actually you said you would take Biggs full stop. Which is pitifully hilarious.
