I'm assuming this 25 is not completely indicative of who'll be back next week. That said, with Curry, Underhill and Ludlam unavailable, Willis on the mend and Simmonds performing so poorly there last week when he came on, we do need a seven of some description to train properly. I guess the surprise is that it isn't Pearson.

Ewells had a decent game, but i hope thats not the level we are looking for.

Our lock stables are a bit of a mix at the moment...from Itojes class, to some "solid" performers....

We have a batch of 6'7 - 6'10 monsters coming through. All very young and a "wait and see how they develop"...but hopefully a couple of them can really come through well post world cup.

The French combo is interesting. Willemse is listed at 2.01 and 135kg, Woki at 1.96 and 109kg. Either very balanced or very unbalanced whichever way you choose to look at it. But I guess you can do things like that when you have their front row resources.

Woki is a class act...rate him highly, but i wouldnt swap him for Itoje. I do think we miss some real heavy duty power and muscle alongside Itoje though.

Your right about the french front row though.

Im not convinced by ours...still dont get the vibe on Sinkler, clearly just me as hes rated so highly by everyone else.

However on the LH side im actually really pleased to see Goodricke Clark in...hes a real powerful unit who puts in some very good performances for Irish. Lets see if he can bring those to this level (if he gets a chance)

I really not convinced by our props outside of Marler. Genge and Sinckler just seem too unreliable at this level. They arnt bad players but they arnt dominate in the scrum as a USP and their work in the loose isn't amazing when comparing to other counties.

Are they the best we currently have, probably but I don't look at our pack and think we look like world beaters any more.

Itoje, Curry, Lawes, George, underhill all play/ look top class at the moment but we could do with a few more stepping up (probably missed someone).

Outside of Dan Cole (!!!) he's the best English scrummaging tighthead in the league

Not like we learn anything from continuing to give Stuart 15mins off the bench (or starting Sinckler)
