England Saxons vs Ireland Wolfhounds 4:30 Jan 28

Ay?

It's being played at Sandy Park, Exeter, if that's what you're asking :p

Just heard that Mickey Young has been dropped from the squad (he's facing the citing lot on Friday, accused of gouging) and has been replaced by Ben Spencer.
Shame for Young however I'm a massive fan of Spencer, hopefully he'll start (though I think Hodgson will, with Spencer (hopefully) getting 20mins at the end).

Saxons squad announced:

15 Delon Armitage (London Irish)
14 Ugo Monye (Harlequins)
13 Matt Hopper (Harlequins)
12 Billy Twelvetrees (Leicester Tigers)
11 Matt Banahan (Bath Rugby)
10 Freddie Burns (Gloucester Rugby)
9 Ben Spencer (Saracens)
1 Matt Mullan (Worcester Warriors)
2 Joe Gray (Harlequins)
3 Paul Doran-Jones (Northampton Saints)
4 Matt Garvey (London Irish)
5 George Robson (Harlequins)
6 James Gaskell (Sale Sharks, captain)
7 Andy Saull (Saracens)
8 Thomas Waldrom (Leicester Tigers)

Not a bad side - Hopefully May gets a decent amount of time.

I bet England's scrum will be pulling at the leash to get their teeth stuck into that lot

Sherry looks an excellent prospect, but the rest leave a lot to be desired. I think we could be in for a bit of a tanking, I like the look of that England team(not much difference between the probable EPS side IMO). The biggest area o interest for me is to see how our centres get on, hopefully O'Malley can take his chance.

Burns-12T will be a nice taster of what might happen next season at Kingsholm :) don't really like the back 3, but May coming on to tired legs could be smart.

That Wolfhounds team would be hockeyed by Ulster, Munster and Leinster and would struggle against Connacht. As such, this game is a waste of time. The players are better off resting ahead of the resumption of the Pro 12 where they'll play truely competitive games. Save Wolfhounds games for end of season tours.

i dont think englands B are great shakes either...i seem to remember loughney and wilkdo doing a great job against YOU 'QUINS and seemed to have maintained gloucester and harlequins away too! :D

quite annoys me when people see a Connacht player on any team and think they will ge thumped. please start watching some of our games, highly frustrating. Wilkinson and loughney work their damn socks off and it has showed all season (may not reflect on wins etc)...

Connacht definatly have some have some very good players, Wilkinson is one example (not sure about Loughney) Muldoon is another. One of the most underrrated players in Ireland, Shame he never had much opportunity to play for Ireland because of our large ammount of flankers. Same can be said about McCarthy, Connacht come off quite in badly in Europe because of their tendency to throw games

Please look over some of my previous posts am a big fan of Connacht and highly rate the likes of McCarthy, Muldoon, McSharry, Griffen, O'Hallorn and Duffy. My cousin is roomates with Gannon. I've watched every H cup game and any televised Pro 12 games however even the most blinkered fan cannot say the scrum was not a big weakness. Many people don't respect Connacht enough I am however not one of them.

To say a teams scrum isn't good enough is not saying they're shite Wilkinson is of a good enough standard but Loughney is simply not up to scratch ecspecially as a tighthead.

Saxons team looks good, nice to see Garvey getting a shot he has been in good form for London Irish and the back line and back row look good. Fancy our chances tomorrow.

Just about to start:
I so excite!
