Gustard saying in the rugby paper that England need Brad Barritt at inside centre ......

Hopefully an attack coach will come in and tell him to **** off

I hope so too.

I enjoyed watching Saracens vs Oyonax. Saracens showed plenty of attack minded play, too much at times forcing the offloads and making errors. But this was because Oyonaxx were poor and allowed Saracens to try anything. Even Barritt looked okay, but that does not mean he will look okay at international level, because he won't as we all know.

Considering at present:
Slade - injured
Manu - no game time or proof at 12
Burrell - uninspiring and stifling
Barritt - same as Burrell
Twelvetrees - suffers brain farts
Hill - unproven international
Devoto - same as Hill

And then considering present form too, this could means a potential mid field combinations could be starting as:
10. Cipriani, 12. Farrell, 13. Joseph.

Would love to see both Eastmond and Daly involved too.

Just thought I'd take a moment to remind everyone of a couple of things:

1 - There were some positives to come out of the last year of the House Of Lancaster

2 - "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Now I'm not suggesting that you tread water or that you shouldn't be proactive, however... there seems to be a worryingly severe bout of amnesia going around.
This period should see us focusing on fixing the things that definitely weren't going right, not changing everything "just because".

JJ and the wingers were not the problem.

Inside centre, back row and set piece definitely were - that's where the bulk of our attention should be focussed.

Has there been any updated on when Manu is due back or at least due back training?

Nice to see him back. But hopefully common sense prevails and he's just left there to regain fitness and get games. I would even resist a summer tour call. No need to rush him back and risk crippling the poor young lad.

We have Daly and JJ...and even Burrell (who im not a fan of at all at 12) looked good at 13 for England...so we are in fine hands.

I firmly believe too many injured or just recovering players were in the WC squad rushed back when they shouldn't have been. Lancaster dropped a big clanger there.

Hear hear......

How soon after Te'o arrives at Worcester will he be rushed into the EPS?

God knows England love a League convert, especially a South Sydney forward they can stick in the centres :p

Already EQP I believe.

Also should play in the back row.

I know, that's what I mean - arrives at Wuss in September, first cap in the November Internationals?

Is Te'o any good ? I've seen play fairly well against Toulon the last few weeks

Suspect Tigs was momentarily forgetting "play in England to play for England"

He is pretty good, and still getting better. Strong/smart runner with a decent offloading game too.
Fantastic signing for Wuss, but wouldn't have him for England as he's not English.

He does highlight our ongoing problem at 12 though.

What is going wrong in our development that we just don't seem to have the number of potential 12s that we should?

I'm good at picking up when other people have made the same mistake I did 10 minutes earlier.

Given the lack of good options at 12; I suspect we may see Barritt there as a sop to Gustard (and continuity); given the 6N but told that he has to show more in attack if he's to stay in the team.

This man gets it.

Matt Smih for 12.
He's more of an 11. You might want Peter Capaldi for 12 instead.

I don't watch doctor who anymore, since I am a adult with a life.

Mainly watch Re-runs of Angry Beavers and new episodes of Adventure time and Regular show.
