England EPS 2017/18 edition.

IIRC his form at 13 for Wasps earlier this season was pretty poor, not close to challenging JJ (who was also a little out of form). Moving to the wing full-time could be the making of him, preferably with the odd match at FB too (and I'd say the same of Nowell getting time at the back too).

I want to see a Daly, May, Watson back 3 - theres nothing as scary as pace to defend against.
My thoughts entirely

You won't single a Bath fan on this website agree he plays there for Bath.
Be fair, @Nudger's only been here since the summer. S/he won't have seen the discussions => arguments => in-joke about where Watson actually plays; given the response s/he obviously hasn't seen them elsewhere either

Can Watson play on the wing?
I know he plays 15 for bath but it seems unlikely that Mike Brown will be dropped so can we shoehorn Watson in out wide?

You obviously don't watch bath

It's a forum joke. Basically when Watson first appeared on the scene for England and was playing wing, some started suggesting he should play FB (Bath fans mostly) to be met with comments about Watson's lack of experience at FB from those who didn't know that was where he played for club. It got repeated a few times with Bath fans getting a bit more exasperated at people saying Watson hasn't played fullback. Everyone now knows but the joke stuck.

I have seen people say it before had to something this time thanks for letting me know

I have been a brown supporter for a long time but now Watson is playing so well on the wing haha he has to start for England at 15

Like Jones I couldn't see kvesic as an England 7 but he is playing well for the chiefs if he keeps it up maybe worth a call up for the 6n

I think Kvesic's time has passed - he's played as well, if not better, than his current form at numerous times throughout his career so far but has never really gotten a look in.
EJ has a huge chub on over Underwood, the Curries and to a lesser extent Simmonds. I think it'd take a lot to get him into the EPS, especially as a specialist 7. Simmonds will play anywhere in the backrow, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Underhill at 6 in the future.

Not sure its true to say his time has passed , he's only 25 for crying out loud. It wasn't that long ago ,it seems, everyone and their dogs were calling for him to be picked. Hes only just started to get his feet at Chiefs and has looked impressive in the recent games that hes started.
I wouldnt dismiss him.

Yeah, and he wasn't.
I put him in the same boat as Roko - international coaches have obviously seen something in training that they don't like as no matter how well they play in the prem they're not getting rewarded for it at international level.

Daly and Hughes likely to be out for the 6N. Yet again, injuries taking away the necessity to force out Brown. Is Binny meant to be back in time? If not, it'll be interesting to see if EJ trusts Simmonds with a whole series.

Last I heard was Binny will be back for the 6N

Be interesting to see if EJ brings anyone in for Hughes or sticks with Simmonds as 2nd choice 8
Who would be next off the rank, if he did get a new face in?
Used to be Beaumont but a combination of poor form, A move to lock and a long term injury has all but killed his chances of playing for England anytime in the foreseeable future

You mean Sam saviour of English rugby Simmonds right?

I just can't see anyone else really, Ackermann doesn't qualify till 2020 other than that who else is there?

I'd say Mercer would be next after Simmonds. He's young and it would probably be a bit early for him but he has looked pretty good at club and age level rugby, a very dynamic 8. With Daly out and Nowell in slightly shaky form might we see Brown stay at 15 with Watson and May on the wings? Don't like seeing Brown retained as I feel it's just wasting potential experience another 15 could have. Brown has had maybe 5 games tops that were similar to his form around 2013/14, the rest has been pretty mediocre with some **** poor awareness of who is outside him, he just gets tunnel vision.

I'd be amazed if this isn't the case.
