All true i agree in a way but surprise of this is because last season slade was used as a 10/12 cover. But now a season on amd he is chief 13 and thats the omly way hes getting into england.

To be fair most of the talk was of Slade settling at flyhalf in the future, regardless of where he's playing now

Kind of like how we all want to see Watson at fullback in the future but bath refuse to play him anywhere other than loosehead prop

Trinders ship has sailed. He is a quality OC, and if he'd made his debut 5/6 years ago and had better luck with injuries I'm sure he would be around 40 caps by now... However his future is limited as he's 28 now, Daly and JJ both younger. Slade playing 13. Joe Marchant on the scene, Tuilagi might get fit one day.

So he still has 5 years of rugby left then and will be 30 at the next world cup? Just because a player is younger doesnt make them better.

Personally i think Francis game suits 12 more but who knows at international level he looked handy at 12 v Arg.

Guessing FH this season but they have signed Bigger who will be nailed on 10 so they prob think 12 long term.

Which is going to pose problems for Mallinder. His son just isn't all that and having Biggar at 10 and Francis at 12 would sideline his son, I can't see him letting that happen.

Mallinder has said he wants to play 15 so not really any problem.

I hope this ban has served as a rest for him after a long season and lions tour. Hooe he comes back findinh his form but i hope he males the bench. Like to see genge and sinks on the bench.
