Trinder is a long shot for test rugby, but if he can stay injury free and maintain his current form, I don't really see his age being a problem.

If Daly is going to be a back three player, then we could do with another quality 13. Marchant has age on his side and is a very, very good player, but I wouldn't rule Trinder out altogether.

Oh, I totally get that of course . But we have players that are younger, ergo they have more room for improvement, and its not like Trinder is a better player than the current England OC incumbents is it? He's not outstanding enough where we are going to drop 2 Lions for him?

Is Francis availble now? Thought he was still injured. Problem with having Slade at 13 we have no one at 12 if Francis is injured, but we can shoe-horn him in for the AIs with Marchant at 13. I also thought Hughes was injured, but we are still a month away from the Ais.

I heard he was fit again and playing for saints soon but shirt turn around for international if true so i get it. If nit then slade marchant isnt a bad shout.

Not sure about hughes but big fan of simmonds (chiefs fan )

Playing guys like that instead of Billy or Hughes changes the dynamic of the back row, maybe even the pack as a whole.

I understand the need for bulk but Wales have shown multiple times that bulk over skill is not a good choice. It allows you to bully weaker teams but caps your upper level against more skilled teams who know how to stop big runners. If we take Simmons at 8 we can look at bulkier players elsewhere. What's the situation with Dave Ewers? Due back from an injury? Underhill seems powerful too and with maybe Genge, George/LCD and Sinckler in the front, losing a bit of bulk at 8 for more dynamism could work.
