England 6N 2016 - General Chit Chat

Thanks very much for the information, I had no idea the process was so esoteric !
Are you permitted to divulge which Gods specifically we are invoking ?

The Flyhalf spaghetti monster is often a good bet.

Having not really focused during many of the Tigers games I've watched this year why slater and not kitchner?

Slater called up for England according to Cockerill

Having not really focused during many of the Tigers games I've watched this year why slater and not kitchner?

Kitchener had an injury last couple of weeks, Slaters versatility gives jones more options from the bench.

Assuming Kruis, Launch and Itojie will be starters Slater will be bench ATM at most.

Slater isn't going to do ****, realistically... unless someone is broken.

Same as ever: Massively physical (excellent tackling rucking and carrying) but hands leave a lot to be desired (not passing but catching and presenting).
I'd have him on the bench regardless.

He played and scored Leics. 2nd try.

Richard Cockerill made the following statement about him

"Manu did some good things today but I don't think he is ready to play Test rugby.

"Even if you put him on the bench to be an impact player for the last half an hour, what happens if you have to put him on after five minutes?

"He wants to be back in the mix. Whether that's right is for me and Eddie to have a discussion but, ultimately, it will be England's decision."

So still not clear what England will do.

Tuilagi was impressive, i thought i saw him pass a few times too; one of which would have been a cracker if it was on target. Either way, England would do better with him coming off the bench than Alex Goode. Sounds like Cockers may have an alterior motive....

IMO Cockers is right Manu shouldn't be rushed.

He has started 3 games in a row for the first time in 2 years what is the hurry.

IMO England need to call up Daly, Wade, Simpson, Mulland and Jake Cooper Wooley just for Wales game.

Lawes out, headline BBC sport news....isn't he like 4th choice lock now anyway?

Is Launchbury fit? if so, i doubt we'll be seeing Slater next weekend. I was impressed with him against Chiefs today though, obviously a good leader, workhorse and covered across the back row well enough. Im interested whether or not LCD will come off the bench against Wales. I think Jones likes that hes a bit of a wrong'un. He seems to have sorted out his set piece and his carrying is IMO more effective than Hartley's and George's. George is the form hooker at the moment and has been for a while but i think LCD could bring something else to the table that could be needed against Wales. Best case scenario would be George starting and LCD off the bench....

as for Tuilagi, i get what your saying and yeah hes obviously not back on form, but he could make one hell of a difference against Wales. Just his presence in the team makes a difference. Even if he plays and hes pants, hes now old enough and experienced enough to not be broken by it. But there we are, im just a spectator so maybe im just wanting to see more hard running and big collisions on the tv... We'll see, but i think its worth the risk

........But there we are, im just a spectator so maybe im just wanting to see more hard running and big collisions on the tv... We'll see, but i think its worth the risk

......and there is everything that is wrong with modern day rugby!!

Why not run at space........?

Don't think there's anything modern about it... it's just changed from the old days when people watched partly to see players throw punches.

I don't understand the nostalgia for old rugby, the skill levels were appalling.

That Baabaas "greatest try ever" is ****ing horrible.
