How is listing 7 possible options clickbait?
How could they possibly have narrowed the list down to 7?
Let me think.
There are 10 Premiership clubs.
It's about who can replace the injured Furbank, so there are 9 other first choice FBs in the Prem.
Carreras is Argentinia
Green is South African

Oh look, we're left with 7.

I'll go out on a limb, and assume they've included Marcus Smith as one of the options, on the principle that he's done it before, and it'll garner clicks; and ignored... probably Obatoyinbo on the principle that he plays for Newcastle.

I like Carpenter too but a debut in Dublin would be a big ask for a fullback.

I think Borthwick will go for Steward as the 'safe' option and TBH, I'd probably do the same.
Ah completely, but some gametime through the 6n would be useful.

We literally are in a position that we dont have a set in stone starting player in most of the backline....thats criminal.

Now theres a thought! Good shout. But id rather go for the really talented young Ben Redshaw if we are going to pick a Falcon

Could've read it and found out,
I thought it was interesting - it's not clickbait to say "Here are 7 options" and then listing 7 options

Except that some of the options aren't really options at all. And it wasn't exactly deep analysis. But nice to know Hodge is working on his passing game.

Even with representatives from 7 separate clubs, Glaws still couldn't get a look in. Kingsholm, where hopes go to die.

Yeah that was my reaction too, but then I thought about it a bit more and I think Borthwick's largely picked his men now. Whether we agree or not is another matter and injuries will always play a part.

Mitchell's nailed on. M Smith probably likewise for now, although you feel SB might just be a failed hitch kick away from going more conservative.

IFW and Freeman look to be clear first choice wings and prob Furbank at 15 although bringing Steward in for the Boks looked like horses for courses but was scarcely a vote of confidence in Furbank.

Lawrence will play somewhere, just who with and in what shirt.

Bench spots definitely up for grabs though. Hopefully F Smith will have overtaken Ford there.

Me too. Just the opening weekend in Dublin or France at home would be a real baptism of fire.

It would, although sometimes I think we worry too much about that. It is a big step up, but I guess it depends on whether there is conviction that a player is 'ready' or if they're more in the 'has potential' bucket.
