EA Rugby 2008 Discussion Thread

In madden I think theres two different buttons for sprinting and carrying the ball with two hands.
 
i think a dummy pass should again be the same as maddens RB ! i.e.. when u dummy for a split second the ball actually looks as if it has gone to the other player. This i think woulndt be very hard to do but very effective and the same then with a dummy kick !

this would be awsome for human v human play as it hard and limited to break down defense when u play for a while against a mate !!

what do u guys think ??

if this has allready been mentioned soz as i havent had time to read all posts !!!
 
Well, it's not exactly an official source, but any leads are interesting. Don't think anyone has posted it yet though.
 
Yeah I saw that, when you google rugby 08.

I got an email from the EA UK forum admin dept. He told me that he hasn't got anything official yet but when he does he will let me know. It must be tight lipped because, he said besides what they put on there website they haven't actually confirmed ***le name yet ect... He will also get answers for the most frequently asked questions, like the one I accidently posted for the 06.
 
sheesh, when da hell will we get something official? like team numbers? player stats? stadiums? special features?.. haha nah i'm talkn about a confirmation that it's actually being made. it sounds kinda iffy at the moment.

That's been established literally 19 times already in this thread :p...the first time being 6 weeks ago :)

I guess it could still be considered iffy really as the only link to confirmation was taken down and hasnt been seen since. Its not like EA couldnt have pulled the plug for reasons of their own. Regardless of what they would have paid HB Studios for completed work, EA wont exactly go bump if they didnt release it.

Some watertight confirmation would actually be nice at this tentative stage.

My feeling is we'll not hear anything til about August when world cup coverage is in full swing with a release due some time in November or even December in time for Christmas.

Or we won't see it until Feb 2008

I had a thought while playing Rugby 2006 playing Newcastle with Wilkinson pounding the kick far too far..

At the moment you press up on the d-pad at rucks/scrums/mauls and your wingers drop back. I would like it so that if you press up again, they drop back another 5m, and again another 5. Also it would be nice to be able to call for them to drop back at any stage when you don't have the ball.
 
Hey guys, has anyone thought that maybe someone hacked hbstudios site and just put in "including rugby 08"???? Just pure speculation, but its abit weird how it was only up for a couple of days dont ya think!! Sure it could be done, couldnt it? Hope im just thinking the worst, but its abit worrying we havnt heard absolutely anything from EA <_<

I doubt it, EA probably want to have a big marketing plan for the game & don't want anything announced before then. HB Studios probably posted about rugby 08, then EA told them to remove it as they want to be the first to announce the game themselves.

I sure hope so, but its most likely they will be releasing a ruggas game. But there are some nasty people out there you no!! <_<
