EA Rugby 2008 Discussion Thread

Yeah, this thread is about Rugby 2008...not frequently asked question about 2006 which we know most of the answers to anyway because it has already been released about 1 and a half years ago.

He made an honest mistake. He said sorry. Lets move on......

I love the Classic match suggestion thrown in by dobrien7. Must be some other great ideas out there?

Thanks Bro it was a honest mistake  , got too excited. at least some people are forgiving! thanks Kev. :)

Ah the old online faux pas, pokes it nose it quite regularly doesn't it?

Thought that was a highlight of JLR the classic matches, working your way up to Japan vs All Blacks.

How about a revolutionary new goal kicking system where you move the analogue stick in the direction you'd swing your leg, something like the Tiger Woods game golf swing maybe?

If done right, then yet again you have a gold medal suggestion on the cards there.

I've got some screenshots and information on the game but I can't tell you. Sorry.

What was the point in posting then, if what you say is true, then you’re waving a banana to a gorilla that hasn't eaten since 2006. :rahh:

Well at least we have even firmer proof of it's development.

Can you tell us. If you were to rate the screenshots out of 10. 10 being the best xbox 360 graphics yet seen, one being a step back from '06 and 5 being a mild improvement from '06, where do you place the graphics?

Wally has been around a long time

Dont bullcrap.........spill the beans, give more details, atleast your impressions.

I know EA Australia is stationed in QLD.........have you got some new hook-up or something?

do they still do anything beyond distribution and the like though? I was fairly sure the dev studio got pulled after v8 challenge and one of the early rugby or cricket games.

Unbelievably naieve? Obviously I know Wally very well and am privy to all his past pisstaking.

I guess your just smarter than everyone else, Webby. Must be nice up there :p

I have driven past the EA "office" in Queensland and I can tell you that it is just a warehouse in the toxic dump part of Brisbane. It is very close to the airport and I doubt that they do anything other than distribution from it. The people that work there would just be the standard "chucking" monkeys that you'd see in any distribution centre.

They would certainly not get any more information about the game than what could be gleaned from the 'net.

And as for Wally seeing screen shots? Whatever! Wally has simply been out in the hot sun of Queensland without his hat for too long.

You've been around here for over 2 years now. Wally's been the king of stirrers for as long as the board has been around.

Guess it just goes to show he's still got it...
