Not ignorant at all his pack has been demolished not just thomas. thomas is a good pack my prosper with the world cup next year we need to start looking elsewhere other than everone's hero Dan " does **** all " Cole

Bad luck as much as anything. Henry Thomas and Will Collier were of the same vintage as Mako Vunipola. However, both guys have missed a lot of gametime with injury, a season and a half or so for both. In terms of physical development and game experience they are behind where we want them to be. Shaun Knight is as old as Marler and looked like he was emerging as a potential option before the Gloucester debacle this season. If you'd remove Vunipola and Marler from the England reckoning, we'd look pretty threadbare at loosehead too.
 
Cole did nothing wrong yesterday and has been brilliant for England over the years, we really need him to stay fit and certainly not entertain thoughts of dropping him for Thomas. He will be in the WC XV I am sure.

well he will be regardless anyways. Too late to change your starting tighthead when you're hosting the RWC in some 18 months (oooooh, your heart just skipped one there just reading that last bit, I'm sure :p).

There does seem to be a big shortage of TH's around though, definitely. France, England, Wales, Italy - all big scrummaging Tier 1 nations with not a whole lot past their starting 3 and perhaps another good one off the bench for some.

How was he terrible? Yes we all know you dont like Cole but seriously did he bang your missus or something because I have never seen someone have such an obsessive dislike for a player before and frankly for the most part you are wrong.

Well......no, because that's simply not true.
Our pack this season has been very good, and our scrum with Cobilas at 3 can go toe to toe with most scrums (vs a Saints pack with Corbisiero at 1 we put up a helluva fight) - as far as I'm aware "Penalty try" is still our top try scorer this season, yet when Thomas comes off the bench we give away a penalty at almost every scrum.

I think looseheadprop87 only watches England games so has no idea how good anyone else is tbh . I haven't seen many sale games so I trust your opinion on what and who is happening .

He just doesn't like him end of story
 
he is overated i watch a lot of rugby and just think there must be someone who can do a better job than him. i know plenty of tiger fans who feel the same way also
 
I think Cole has been banging one up you tallshort are you walking like john wayne and screaming i love dan cole every sat watching the mighty tigers

Did you actually watch yesterday's game? I'm pretty sure DC won a couple of turnovers for England in the first 20 mins or so and carried well in the first half as well.

I agree that he tired towards the end of the second half, but you have to put this in perspective. In this, post-Lions season, Leicester's injury crisis has meant that DC has played a LOT of minutes for the Tigers.

Plus, of the 12 props that started the 6N this weekend, DC was the ONLY ONE who played for 80mins.

So, given all this, I think the "I hate DC" bregade should give the man a break.
 
4/10 in the rugby paper was Cole's rating i cant believe anyone who thinks he had a good game yesterday!! he was also lifted of his feet in one of the scrums which indicates a very poor technique.

p.s Tallshort i heard he left you gapeing and in a flood of tears
