[COVID-19] - Things to do when under lockdown

I can recommend a pub crawl around the via the Zoom or House party app.
If your not ****** at end you sadly live in a small house or didn't do it properly.
Apologies to anyone living in a small space.

What do people think about buying non-essentials online?

We've had a few bits delivered and I want to continue supporting businesses that I normally use. But bike parts, clothing etc aren't essential and there must be some risk to the warehouse staff, delivery drivers etc. I'm a bit torn on this.

If they are open then buy buy buy.
Remember going to work is allowed.
Employers have a responsibility to try and make 2m separation.
Emergency powers have not declared this mandatory however.
I visited as always my local Farm shop 5 miles from house ,I could go 2 miles to Tesco Asda or Lidl however I prefer real food and some I can see slaughtered however off putting that is to some.
But support local suppliers always not just in these times.
Cleaning products is all I generally go to a normal shop for.
Farm store even had bog roll that they never had before, didn't buy as didn't need.
If your comfortable with your choice go for it.

Thinking that I might not go back to weights much after this. I'm loving my band workouts and the results.... And working out in my boxers.

What bands are you using?

this has definitely made me rethink my workouts. As a referee, running is clearly more important so it should become my primary focus while before shutdown the weights were getting more time.

I'm going to be giving up 5/3/1 as I've really only been doing it the past couple of months cause I didn't want to be a quitter.

"Powerband max" got two medium and two heavy, double or triple up where I need to. Yeah, I'm exclusively in the 8-12 rep range for the first time ever and supersetting pretty much every block.

Doubt I'll ever stop training for strength totally because I like putting up a big weight* but I could see myself doing four week strength programmes alternating with about 10 or 12 weeks primarily on bands.

I'll look way sexier at festivals in 2021 because of it too....

I agree with @duncanb, spend the money. Maybe I'm just self rationalising, but given the tonking the economy is taking, spending money has to be a good thing, and this is the safest way.

Small retailers preferably (although I can't claim to be a saint on that)

Talking of small retailers ...

Apparently sex and or ************ increases the production of white blood cells.
So as these fight viruses I'm going to class at my a trip to chemist for Viagra an essential.
Not sure Mrsduncanb will be so keen as near 60 we both may cause more issues to NHS.
My teen days of Olympic wanking are long past however.

Back???????????

Need to start first....

But in seriousness alot of pros are turning to using bands more in workouts. It forces more muscles to work and benefits flexibility alot more which compliments areas like core
