Champions Cup - Pool 3, Round 2 (Leicester, Toulon, Scarlets, Ulster)

AAAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Halfpenny is just bound on butchering every try opportunity for Toulon this Euro campaign !!!!
You were saying Tony ??

That was his forte - seeing gaps in open play as he would as a back three player!! He does not do that from set plays!!

wow, Ulster isn't "cold at the eyes" as we say in French. Not intimidated by this copious Toulon roster, nice to see. hashtag Ulsterness hashtag hashtag

HP doing just one thing well (and everything else bad): dem 3pointers.

wow. What a try. :) the whole sequence, all the phases.

yes, yes, YES !!!! 16-3 at HT. Magnificent conv by HP in the corner, superb. This looks damn good. :) :)

I am not sure that I agree with you @Bluemoon as 1/2d has little to do and, apart from the ball to touch which he had no choice but to kick with two Ulstermen bearing on him, he has looked calm and has kicked brilliantly!

It looks good @Big Ewis only from a Toulon perspective....to a neutral it is pretty poor stuff.

Cannot see Ulster getting back into this even with the wind but, if they are to do so, they need to get John Afoa back from Glaws as the scrum is being penalised out of the game................!!

Careless, reckless kick on Oldings head. I don't care that he was going for the ball, he is hacking is foot through where somebody's head is lying. I don't think that should go unnoticed.

I think that the crowd noticed!!! Obviously the TMO thought there was nothing further..............

I seem to remember last week a load of shouts for some (suspected gouging) incident which I did not see as being that and eventually suggested we await the citing official's report (which never came) and suggest the same here!

Fatty man *** bosh bosh comes on. Is he really the man you want against Toulon, they'll finish Ulster of his penalties alone!

valiant efforts from Ulster, much respect out to them. Like all good Irish sides, ardent at the breakdown, pleasing to watch. But on attack they've brought far too little, and Toulon have shown up too much on defense. That Armitage intercept and try is no one-off, the Ulster offense has been too slow and predictable, when they haven't just kicked the ball back behind Toulon fault of not having anything better to do. Toulon got this.

At least Armitage had the decency not to gloat as he usually does.......

Steffon !! *clap* *clap* *clap* Steffon !! *clap* *clap* *clap*

Stand up for the Ulstermen!

Beautiful song!

Toulon putting on a breakdown masterclass. Ulster excellent there too. And Giteau's absence has definitely left Toulon somewhat sterile on attack, although we've seen some good movements today.

The RCT forwards have been really good and, as you say BE, the ruck as been a masterclass as time after time all over the pitch there are always more RTC players than Ulstermen....

Good try by Ulster and who knows they may just do it again for a bonus point against a Toulon side who have effectively treated the game as over since Delon's try and might find it hard to pick it up.
