first real test for Toulon. Would be huge if they can pull this off.
Interested to see how Llanelli do against the Tigers at home after a superb performance in Mayol...will be behind them, they've really left an impression on me, a courageous squad.

on the back of last weekend Toulon will be out right group winners and neither Leicester, Ulster or Scarlets will go through as runner up.

Unless the likes of Cole, Mulipola, Youngs, Parling, Allen, Manu, Morris, have a huge affect on our team come December.

But Scarlets away will be a big test for this team hopefully Allen will be back although manu out is a loss.

^ This. Highly unlikely that one of us will go through as runners up, we won't accumulate enough points compared to the runner ups in the easier groups, which is a bit disappointing.

You never know - at the same time, lose this and Ulster might as well send out the reserves from here on.

Irish teams never do that in Europe but after last weekend I think Ulster do need to win in Toulon as well as tomorrow to have shot. But imagine if they went in to that game with lads like Henderson and Ruan back itching for road.

Allen is back and Williams is starting @ 10!!! This team better be the one that starts.

Leicester Tigers (v Scarlets, Parc y Scarlets, Saturday 7.45pm)
15 Mathew Tait
14 Blaine Scully
13 Vereniki Goneva
12 Anthony Allen
11 Miles Benjamin
10 Owen Williams
9 Ben Youngs (c)
1 Marcos Ayerza
2 Leonardo Ghiraldini
3 Fraser Balmain
4 Brad Thorn
5 Graham Kitchener
6 Jamie Gibson
7 Julian Salvi
8 Jordan Crane

Replacements
16 Harry Thacker
17 Michele Rizzo
18 Tiziano Pasquali
19 Sebastian De Chaves
20 Robert Barbieri
21 David Mele
22 Freddie Burns
23 Matt Smith

Starting to look better even with Logo, Youngs, Cole, Slater, Parling, Deacon, Croft, Matera, Manu, Hamilton, Camacho out.

Teams:

Ulster: Louis Ludik; Tommy Bowe, Jared Payne, Stuart Olding, Craig Gilroy; Paddy Jackson, Paul Marshall; Andy Warwick, Rory Best (capt), Wiehan Herbst; Lewis Stevenson, Franco van der Merwe; Robbie Diack, Chris Henry, Roger Wilson.

Replacements: Rob Herring, Callum Black, Declan Fitzpatrick, Clive Ross, Nick Williams, Michael Heaney, Ian Humphreys, Darren Cave.

Toulon: Leigh Halfpenny; Delon Armitage, Mathieu Bastareaud, Maxime Mermoz, Bryan Habana; Matt Giteau, Michael Claasens; Alexandre Menini, Guilhem Guiardo, Carl Hayman (capt); Jocelino Suta, Romain Taofifenua; Juan Fernandez Lobbe, Steffon Armitage, Chris Masoe.

Replacements: Craig Burden, Fabien Barcella, Levan Chilachava, Bakkies Botha, James O'Connor, Ali Williams, Sebastien Tillous-Borde, Juan Smith.

Happy to see Olding in - Wilson is also a more solid performer than Williams so also happy about that. We seriously need to cut out the errors from the Leicester game. We have this horrible habit of doing something extremely stupid during big games causing red and yellow cards - really can't afford that tomorrow.

Wow, a quarter of this clash is South African. Our Super rugby sides could really use these players. And Pienaar is injured or he'd have started.

or Aussies...I mean look at this:

Toulon need to get their act together quickly if they are to win this one as the longer the match goes with Ulster there or thereabouts.........trouble!!

I want to see some real team play keeping it tight before they turn it loose having earned the right to throw it about. However, I reckon they will continue to throw it about and be very individualistic..............that being so, Ulster have good chance.

Think that "interception" proves my point!!!!

ALLEZ TOULON !!!!!! :D
This looks like an interesting one..

Looks like a nasty hamstring injury for Giteau. He looked in considerable pain on the floor.

Gutted for him, he's been sublime when I've seen him this season.

@Big Ewis..............whatever that all means!!

With Giteau gone, Ulster have never had a better chance! The effectiveness of Toulon has just gone down a massive percentage and a decent try and their heads will start to flag as they know it and must realise like everyone else that JOC is a dick at 10!!!

Toulon playing rubbish too..............even before Giteau went!!

AAAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Halfpenny is just bound on butchering every try opportunity for Toulon this Euro campaign !!!!
You were saying Tony ??

Agreed @Tony Manx. Giteau has been a part of their gameplan, and Ulster certainly seem to be causing them problems in areas.

On another note, Halfpenny is really stuttering at the moment. Feel as though he has a little too much pressure on him to perform on the moment. Whether that is self induced or from the top who knows!
