Hurling

maybe in Munster and parts of Leinster... [/b]
Officially it's the national sport, obviously gaelic is the bigger sport

even tho we suck balls at football, a lot of kids prefer it. There are more footie clubs in llanelli than rugby by a fair amount. it makes no sense, i know.

As for the dragons, keep them in the CL, but put them in the parker pen. The whole of the Asda league prem is for development anyway. Puttina county in a club comp would mess everything up

well if your brought up in a Ulster, where your county's best hurling team have to play their league games in a diff county altogether... your taught football as the national sport thats most played - hurling is just a myth in Fermanagh!

Just as well cause your common sense is cack. Think before you post wonder-boy!

Once again we have reffing complaints, 2 tries disallowed for the Dragons in Musgrave park which most likely would have seen them beat Munster today, however once again Munster fail to get a bp against the weakest Welsh team albeit with 9 first team players.

Musnter's failure to pick up the bonus point benefits Edinburgh and Leinster greatly. The quality of referees in this league leaves alot to be desired though.

how can you say the underage structure in Wales in struggling when they literally DOMINATING at under 21 level. Perhaps its because its the old club teams such as Neath etc which are producing them?

Daft stuff today with the news that Leinster and the Borders will have a 9pm kickoff in their Celtic league match on Friday April 7, in order to avoid a clash with the Melrose 7s which take place the same weekend, the other alternative was a 4:30pm kickoff on the Sunday but Borders insist they will get a bigger crowd at the Friday game than the Sunday kick off. One strange thing is that apparently local transport shuts down about 11pm, doens't give much time to get out of the ground. Leinster are said to have no problem with the kick off time. Does seem a bit strange but Borders insist the late kickoff is a one off.

Probably less people will go on Friday, IE Families because of the late kick off. Is it in Scotland? Cause if so, Galashiels will be full of drunk folk by the time the game finnishes.

Yeah it's in Scotland, Borders still think they'll get a better crowd on the Friday instead of the Sunday plus it'll probably be a full strength Leinster team which should help, maybe the drunks will head along and we might get a decent atmosphere.

Galashiels is a great town for rugby. I had a great time there. They get decent crowds there now and then but afterall it is Borders and 99% of the time you aint gonna pay money to watch them.

so with an off weekend in the 6N it's back to Celtic League action, albeit without most of the international players, in the Irish teams that is, not sure about the others yet. Although the Irish players on the bench should get a game as EOS doesn't seem to be that aware of the concept of subs.

Should see the return of Mr Church for the Ospreys after he got time off for good behaviour in their match against the Borders.

Weekend Fixtures.

Fri 17 Feb 19:10 Ospreys v Border Reivers Liberty Stadium

Fri 17 Feb 19:30 Edinburgh Gunners v Ulster Murrayfield

Sat 18 Feb 14:30 Connacht v Llanelli Scarlets Sportsground

Sat 18 Feb 15:30 Munster v Glasgow Warriors Thomond Park

Sat 18 Feb 17:30 Dragons v Leinster Rodney Parade

*all times local

Must win game for Edinburgh at Murrayfield. We blew our chances in Ireland in September and now it's vengence time. Ulster are putting out a full team, not resting internationals. I don't know about Edinburgh but Blackadder may be being told to rest key Scottish players such as Paterson, Hogg, Taylor and Di Rollo (who will probably be rested to save his hamstring no doubt). Still, that would give us Lawson (who I think may also be asking for the Scotland 9 jersey in a few years) and Godman as half backs and our front row would be unchanged.

With EOS not picking that many Leinster players in his starting lineup we're not as badly hit as previous, should be able to put a decent team out against the Dragons, the likes of Dempsey, Hickie, Kearney, Corrigan, Gleeson, Heaslip all available as well as the legend Conters.
