Iain Balshaw jouera au Racing-Métro l'an prochain.

I hope Racing-Métro realise what they've gotten themselves into.....

well I've got to agree with jeremy guscott on balshaw hes just made of paper. Its a good move for him I guess and for Gloucester if theyre to have realistic sights of winning something. Whens it going through for those of us who dont speak french?

nothing definite confirmed, only that he was in Paris last week and gave his intention to sign, doesn't say if he actually signed anything though, unless my translation is off.

At the end of the season he'll make the move.

You're right, it's a great deal for Balshaw. He's 29 so this is probably his last big contract. I suspect he'll earn a good amount of money from the Parisian club.

Iain Balshaw will play at Metro-Racing next year. International English (29, 35 caps), who was visiting the club in Paris last week, agreed. The Gloucester winger, who also moved to Bath and Leeds, is the first rookie of the Metro-Racing for next season. (MR)[/b]

Surprising move considering that Gloucester are in the brown stuff because Vinakolo is an idiot. But in fairness to Racing he does have a nack of scoring tries in domestic games... He simply falls apart come international time.

First reaction: LOL !

But after all this is an international player, with a lot of experience... not a bad choice for a ProD2 team on his way to Top 14. Can he play at wing again ? He maybe less dangerous here.

To be fair he`s been in good form this season for Glaws, although his defensive weaknessess are never far away. On the wing he is very dangerous with bags of gas . Just dont expect him to tackle or make the right decision under real pressure.
